On a completely unrelated note, does anyone have any idea how bad lead times are for body panels out of Japan right now?

I'm so sorry, just went through something similar myself. For what it's worth, my repair (front bumper replacement) "only" took about 2 months. It was initially feared that the wait time would be much longer, but then the parts miraculously showed up one day. Hoping for a shorter turnaround time for you!

I was pretty heartbroken when it happened, yeah Watched the guy roll into me in slow motion through the side-view mirror. Ugh.

Two months is about where I was expecting to wind up when everything's all said and done, so I guess that doesn't disappoint me TOO much. It just sucks that I'm going to have to drive around with a gross smear down my bumper until then... Crossing fingers that I get lucky like it sounds like you did!

That's absolutely bonkers. But I believe it - especially with how many body panels on this care are bespoke to the FL5.

it is night and day difference, just comparing @arbies BB and the SGP next to him vs. the SGP in the middle is amazing the difference it makes to the overall feel of the front end

Finally cleaned and protected the seats with Dr. Beasley and decided to throw on these bride headrests I had, much cozier.
