I have the same noise, 2024 Type R as well. It sounds like a whinging noise specially notable at cold starts, goes away when clutch pedal is pressed in, comes back when clutch pedal released. I am roughly at around 15000 miles and it just started this winter.
I thought maybe it is really cold...
yeah, to me it sounds like air trapped, would have thought slave cylinder but then it should happen in every gear not just the 1st to 2nd ... not even downshifting from 3rd to 2nd causes the pew laser gun sounds lol
i have 26k kms on it and it just started. I went away for a week on vacation so the car sat for 2 or 3 weeks. it's also really cold here but i drove it last year in the cold and didn't have this issue. i still have warranty so thinking to take it in
a lot of people say it has alot of NVH but while that's true initially, I noticed that it settled down and significantly less vibration after 200kms or so. Only on cold start ups and it was really cold talking -20 degrees C
for me it was too loud, it made the cabin feel like i had an exhaust...

thanks for the post i have the exact symptoms as you after lowering. I do have whiteline rsb and endlinks. Which were on from before the lowering springs. But the noise came after being lowered.
i am hoping it's the brackets bolts
As of 2 days ago
I am running 275/35/18s ps4s +40 offset
lowered on swift
front pins pulled -1.8
rear camber arms -2.0
I don't think I am rubbing but I don't know what or how someone can tell they are rubbing.
I only once, noticed a pop or clunk noise going down a steep slope gas station...
@jonnys_honda @tezzasaurusrex glad this thread existed and sorry if this do long ago for but any chance you remember what was that torque spec on the pinch nut of the camber arm
i just installed spc camber arms and they are rebranded eibach ones
No I have not gotten a digital one
I went to a Honda dealer and asked one of the techs to do me a favor that next time a Type R comes in if he can make me a template
So they were kind enough to make me one(just a piece of paper) I still need to get another another Type R badge and try it...
the best thing anyone can do is track cargo shipments that leave Suzuka, Osaka or any japanese ports and look for cargo ships designated to transport vehicles, there was a link on this thread a while back i posted... that and a bit of honesty and due diligence from the dealer you're working...
Hi there, I plan on lowering with springs about 1 " drop
this might be a no brainer question to some but I'd like to understand this well rather than blindly do what every one else is doing... considering both rv6 camber arms and spc adjust camber but from two different positions on the knuckle...
