Just wondering if anyone's purchased and installed the HRS Power Folding Mirrors from HIREV SPORTS.

https://hirevsports.com/products/11th-gen-civic-pfolding-mirrors

I've reached out to them and asked if they are genuine Honda JDM OEM parts, and got a response that they are not. There are only few online reviews available, and was wondering if anyone can provide info.

Thank you.

Not sure about HIREV, but check this video out. OEM route.

I just recently did this and it was relatively easy and great results. I also paired it with the SUMA mirrors.

What instructions did you use to take off the door panel?

EDIT: I can't read; you put it in the YT description.

I recommend using the mikstore C, E, or F kit rather than HIREV. It looks like the hirev kit uses aftermarket wiring which will require running a wire under the dash. Also, the hirev kit seems to rely on an aftermarket box to provide auto folding capability. Be advised that the hirev kit for 10th gen civics had to be pulled off the market because the auto fold box was frequently failing.

The mikstore kit taps into the vehicle canbus which means no need to run a wire under the dash (saves a lot of work). The mikstore is more expensive, however. There are multiple threads here and over at Integra forums discussing the mikstore kit.

Thanks everyone for the quick feedback, truly appreciate it!! I'll go with the Honda OEM from the mikstore.

Hi,

I really like folding mirrors and had them on prior cars.

But, I was always worried about the cost to fix them and for the civc type R I am a big believer in KISS...less weight. less motors. less moving parts.....so I actually like for this car the lack of them.

Less is more.
