  1. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

The slides are very basic mostly borrowed from CTR.
  2. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

Hanging out of the back of the camera car I could hear wastegate on and off throttle.
  3. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

Your response was reminiscent of Hemingway himself.
  4. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

    1. It could be timing being pulled at higher end where HP/TQ advantages are less noticable, and potentially some aero difference. If you pull out of a corner same speed, Integra will pull on the CTR slightly up until 95 or 100. Its basically like a half car length. 2. The only bounce you can...
  5. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

Cut off resonator then throw a firework out window when you lift off throtte.
  6. FL5 Type R vs DE5 Integra Type S | Savagegeese

I want to preface this by saying I will be able to post the lap times next week however I can give you a brief run down and answer any questions after driving both cars back to back, street and track. The video released today focusing on the ITS but many comparisons were made with CTR. Lap...
  7. Thoughts on FL5 vs FK8 (by savagegeese)

The LPL told us all development was done at Suzuka. So they clearly calibrated it for a glass track. I think there are certain areas it helps the front end dig in and rotate the car as well but, its mostly worse on almost every normal track.
  8. Thoughts on FL5 vs FK8 (by savagegeese)

Video is out tomorrow. Sadly I could not put my laptime in it because of a seperate embargo. However video answers most all questions. Ill be on here to answer anything else.
  9. Thoughts on FL5 vs FK8 (by savagegeese)

For the official laps we left it in factory +R and VSA off. And yes the harsh suspension slows car down by about .3.
  10. Thoughts on FL5 vs FK8 (by savagegeese)

All cars had TCS/Stability off. The FL5s TCS system is not that invasive on the street or up to 8/10ths but going flat it stops the car from being able to throttle lift steer the back and makes it far less easy to get car to turn in. It also does its version of brake TQ vectoring which is very...

    Not compared technically but...
  12. Thoughts on FL5 vs FK8 (by savagegeese)

Thanks we have a Type S video coming too that will really be special as well.
  13. What other Honda's have you owned?

I am somewhat surprised by the die hard ownership. I know its a small sample size but damn. Here is My List: 1997 Honda Civic DX Green 1998 Honda Civic EX Red 1998 Honda Civic EX Silver 1999 Honda Prelude 2000 Honda Insight 2002 Honda S2000 2003 Honda S2000 2004 Honda S2000 2005 Honda S2000...
  14. Seat Recall Gone Wrong?

Dealerships like Honda that always deal with commodity cars and not specialty customers/cars have more problems like this. They can get away with being less careful on minivans, CRVs etc because most of the customers don't really care or notice scuffs, scratches. Its always about, get the car...
  15. Normal oil temperature seems low

This is normal for this car, it also recovers more quickly from high heat. With 0w20, the normal oil temps can be much lower with no loss of efficiency.
  16. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Media Launch Questions for savagegeese?

I run Redline 5w30 in summer and for track. And when temps dip below 45F Ill go back to 0w20. Its VERY dependent on temps you run. If you are sitting there running around at 180F oil temp 90+ % of time no point of going to a thicker oil other than the NOACK argument of 0w oils having higher...
  17. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Media Launch Questions for savagegeese?

They will track you in the skies and sell your location data.
  18. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Media Launch Questions for savagegeese?

My understanding is unless they made manufacturing changes the FL5 body and DE5 will be identical. Maybe some difference in adhesives etc. The base seats are fine. They are good enough unless you are going nuts with mods and track. The apec seats are better because of material and grip...
