Hyundai has severe quality issues making it not comparable with the Type R. Aside from the Theta 1 and 2 engines having catastrophic design flaws they now have a DSG issue making the cars undriveable.
I have no clue. From experience it might cause a slight glare at most depending if it allows enough adjustment to lower the beam throw. It depends on the light housing. Modern lights have a beam step so LHD stepped have higher beam towards the right which is opposite with RHD.
Traditionally Euro market headlights are hard to find whereas the JDM have always been easy. However, if anyone has a PN and source that’s definitely the more ideal setup.
If anyone is interested in the JDM FL5 headlights which have a clear reflector and not amber they’re about $1400 per light.
PNs:
R HL - 33100-T43-J13
L HL - 33150-T43-J13
For the unaware, these will have a different beam pattern requiring adjustment to reduce glare.
I’d be cautious about divulging online what dealer you purchased it at. I posted the dealer I bought my FK8 at and some twat called them bitching and yelling because I nabbed it for MSRP. Dude was a broke joker trying to finance with $500 down too smh.
The only person mentioning race car is yourself. The fact is sports/performance centric cars care about performance and why acceleration, braking, and handling matter. Performance is the sole reason they exist. Hence why the Type R is what it is. You said you want a “road car” and don’t care...
Being faster from a roll, especially top end is pretty important. So is braking which the FL5 is taking slightly longer to do from 70mph. It appears the shorter gearing for daily duties is a negative here. I’m curious how track times will look because I’ve already seen a non-LE FK8 driver net...
