  1. The FL5 Dealer ADM Markup Thread

I lived in the area for 6 years so I have many friends there. My FK8 friend was gonna wait for the FL5, but when he found the FK8 with <15k miles for $42k just went with that. Dealers were telling him $20k adm at the time, lol. The area (DMV as a whole) has quite a few car enthusiasts and people...
  2. The FL5 Dealer ADM Markup Thread

Not a surprise. My friend lives in Annandale and just bought his FK8 for $42k (pretax). When a used car is going for MSRP of a new one, the dealers see little incentive to budge. You may have to wait this one out a bit until prices stabilize. Hopefully with interest rates rising car prices may...
  3. What did you pay for your FL5?

Yea, no sweat off my back. If people aren't willing to pay even 5 or 10k adm then they'll have to wait or not get one. I actually did try to find a used FK8 in decent condition in my area. It was slim pickings on that front and the one I did find was going for a hefty price. I don't know where...
  4. What did you pay for your FL5?

At 54k price point there's not a ton of new vehicles that are significantly better bargains without starting to get into different car categories or much higher prices. I guess a base model CT4 is what, 62k? Though, ain't nobody buying the base Blackwing (the one I test drove was at $76k base)...
  5. What did you pay for your FL5?

Good thing I got a miata as well! I got mine with a whopping 2.8% interest rate in 2021. Right now I could sell my 1.5 year old Miata for more than I bought it for. But you're also making a bit of a weird comparison, of course people can get more bang for their buck on used cars, but on new...
  6. What did you pay for your FL5?

I think people should also take into consideration regional variations. 58k in one city might seem vastly higher or lower than another. There's also demand considerations. Go to a place like Boston and you'll see very few sedans/sports cars relative to Miami or Atlanta -- it's actually...
  7. What did you pay for your FL5?

Got the price quote on mine which should be here in a week or so. Price is $54,753 with ADM (10k markup basically). They also are forcing a "package" that includes various things like wheel locks, tint, and a ceramic coating, that's a $3k. The real killer is, of course, the ol' tax man which...
  8. 2023 Civic Type R Waitlist / Deposit / Reservations List - Check in here!

Thankfully between trade-in and savings I won't have to finance much. But if you're financing $45k it'll be a bit rough.
  9. 2023 Civic Type R Waitlist / Deposit / Reservations List - Check in here!

Yea, this place said $57k after adm and "accessories." 62k after taxes/reg, but they cant do anything about taxes (every vehicle gets that). Pretty rough, to be honest.
  10. 2023 Civic Type R Waitlist / Deposit / Reservations List - Check in here!

Hmm, the dealer I have a deposit at is not on the list, but another in the area is. Now for the old dilemma to wait or to try to get the earlier reservation.
  11. 2023 Civic Type R Waitlist / Deposit / Reservations List - Check in here!

Funny enough, they had told me 25k and wouldn't budge. I said no and now they keep wanting me to contact them but even 15k is pushing it too far. Most dealers are already incredibly greedy and often lie, no reason to deal with one that takes it step further.

I'm also in ATL. This is generally what I've found. However, one dealer had a $25k mark up. Multiple others simply said there would be a mark-up, but no one said how much. I finally did find one willing to do a $10k markup with a (hefty) deposit to be first in line. My friends in Florida said...
