6 weeks is a pretty long time to let a battery sit, especially in cold temps. It probably shortened its lifespan to some degree, but you have it on a charger now, so that’s good. Depending on the age of the battery and ambient temps, I’d put it on a charger if it’s going to sit for more than...
Yeah. Battery Tender is probably the most well-known and perhaps respected brand. I have the Battery Tender + (12V). Not the cheapest option, but it is durable and flexible (compatible with Lead Acid, AGM, and Gel batteries). Just plug it in. No switches or anything to second guess about. So far...
No. Honda is the parent company of Acura. The ITS is only sold in North America. It is also built in the US.
I point this out to say that, I think, where different models are sold has more to do with (not necessarily in this order) : 1. Where they’re made (the specific plants). 2...
Yeah, that’s true! Good points.
If a facelift were to happen, it’d be coming this summer (following historical patterns), in which case, yeah I agree that pics or clues of upcoming changes would’ve leaked by now.
I mean…those taking a hard stance one way or the other are already silly, right? Maybe some random people consider themselves upper management at Honda Corporate??
??? What does this have to do with chicks and cars? LOL!
The full quote (from the movie, They Live) : “I have come to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubble gum.”
Notice how they primarily show a red FL5 with the black interior. The only complaint I’ve ever heard of the red FL5 was that there’s “too much red.” This addresses that complaint while packaging it as a special edition.?
LOL. Yeah. It’s not for everyone. There are definitely cheaper options for carbon interior accessories out there…and they’re not great. Weave design and pattern is all messed up. Color is meh. Gaps around buttons. No thanks.?
Uh…no. The Honda accessories are carbon fiber with the same exact weave and color as the carbon spoiler. You can see the unfinished / unpolished carbon on the underside. Where did you hear it was faux carbon? LOL!!!
Yup, you’re right about that. However, MANY people still believe that MSRP deals don’t exist and are “fake news” simply because they do not shop outside their area or even their state. Then they ask to see proof, which is ridiculous, but I understand why @Nikw91 was being proactive about it.
It’s hard to tell in the pics, but yeah, it is normal practice to use gloss black ppf on gloss black parts. I’m with you ; I bet it is ppf peeling.
Ah gotcha. ?
Yeah, I totally agree! Die cutting the tape should’ve been the easiest thing! There’s definitely some attention to detail issues here. The boss at Adro likely said “It’s good enough. Ship it! We’ll deal with the minor fallout later.” I bet they won’t have these problems a bit...
Anyone who works closely with manufacturing will tell you that what you design in CAD doesn’t (won’t) directly translate to the manufactured parts…particularly when you’re talking about molded parts (in this case, hand made, molded/formed, parts) that may require several processes to arrive at...
They should’ve had a senior tech work on it the first time. My (small town) Honda dealership has 2 master techs. They told me that anything beyond basic maintenance, that only their master techs work on Type R’s ; Indeed a master tech did my worm gear recall. Wherever you take your car, you can...
