Try ensuring you have a light side load on the gear lever (left, toward driver legs) as you shift 1st to 2nd. Light is the key phrase, don’t force it. I do this with all my manuals. I understand you maybe an experienced driver but just making a suggestion to try and help.
That section of the interchanges going from A81 to A98 I don’t believe are unrestricted. Usually the sections through rural are unrestricted. im not an expert but I’m sure at the interchanges with traffic it’s pretty reckless to drive that fast.
One thing with buying a high quality forged wheel in a popular size/finish is you often can sell them used for about 75% of what you paid. So you park a bunch of money in them but get a good portion of it back later.
Chevy lost me with no manual option on the Corvette. Corvette use to be an easily available vehicle for a decent price that could run with some of the big dogs. Now it’s not as affordable, weighs a bunch more, no manual, not readily available, etc.
Z06 is pretty special but it is a real shame...
Cover takes 2 seconds to take off and about 10 seconds to put on. If you ever get the urge to see the nice seat and feel the clingy (in a good way) fabric you can take off the cover, no biggie.
Happy that in this day and age of boring SUV’s that Honda is still putting out somewhat affordable manual transmission enthusiasts cars like the Type R and Type S.
With that said I’d like to thank VW (GTI/Golf R), Toyota (BRZ…oh sorry GR86, Z4……sorry again Supra, GR Corolla), Ford (Mustang)...
22 hours to go and it’s about $52500 considering buyers commission. Similar price with commission as the Carsandbids auction.
8k-10k adm, simil to what dealers are sell them for, not necessarily what they are asking 15-20 adm.
Man, what bs these auctions sites are letting cars sell for over...
Looks nice but too bad they tacked on the flares ala widebody Challenger / Charger. Tooling up new sheet metal is expensive so I understand the decision.
Raiti is so dam abrasive and his reviews are completely uninspiring and never learn anything new from that guy, one of the biggest hacks
One thing I’m surprised about is not much is made about the lack of torque steer on the Type R compared with Elantra N.
No other front wheel drive car I’ve driven comes close to not feeling like front wheel drive as the Type R. I have yet to feel any torque steer, such a pleasure!!!
They are Utah residents. Heated seats are a nice feature.
As others said $10k price difference is huge. However if you buy the car for a long term enjoyable ownership experience than the $10k advantage shrivels up in my mind because Honda resale and history/reputation for better quality kicks...
