  1. 2023 Civic Type R FL5 - Reviews Compilation (Articles + Videos) ✍🏻 🎥

This was a well organized and written review that captures in words some of the thoughts I had driving the FL5. Thanks for sharing.
  2. First FL5 oil change mileage?

Just replaced oil and filter today. Also used Tower Guard metal clean/protectant on all the easy to get to aluminum parts (bottom of engine and trans case, control arms, underbody shield, steering knuckles, etc.) to help resist the white oxidation that occurs over time. Tools needed are, large...

To put in Perspective how much a trillion dollars is consider this. 1 millions seconds is = 11.5 days, 1 billion seconds = 31.7 years, 1 trillion seconds = 31,700 years
  4. FL5 Civic Type R at C&D Lightning Lap 2023 -- lap time beats FK8 by 1.9 seconds!

Few countries stimulated with 4-5 TRILLION USD over two years. The strong American consumer and businesses back by cheap money led the way to worldwide inflation. Other western countries had the same free money policies which compounded the problem. Ask this question. During COVID with...
  5. Under 600 Badge Mark

Isn’t he VIN a more accurate representation of an early build than the numbered plate?
  6. Interior noises - rattles, creaks, squeaks!

You should sell it and start fresh.
  7. New Owner Observation / Stories

Completely different perspective than the comments from others. The Type R always feels like it is going faster than it actually is. I attribute it to the firm suspension and high revs at highway speeds. Most cars I’ve had are heavier and have gearing that would be approx 2k rpm at 70mph.
  8. Build quality

I’m use to Ford and Chevy build quality. The Civic is 100x better
  9. FL5 Civic Type R at C&D Lightning Lap 2023 -- lap time beats FK8 by 1.9 seconds!

Understood and thanks for that info. I wonder what options the sport has vs the lx doesn’t have. Oh well, median home price is still eye popping at 40% increase over 4 short years. Glad I have a home to offset the inflation
  10. The FL5 Dealer ADM Markup Thread

Honda Pilot went up 27% in the last 4 years. Inflation due to reckless government spending is a bitch. Also median home prices in US went up 47% in those same 4 years. Feeling poorer yet if you don’t own a home?
  11. FL5 Civic Type R at C&D Lightning Lap 2023 -- lap time beats FK8 by 1.9 seconds!

2018 Honda Pilot base price when new $31,895 2023 Honda Pilot base price $40,495 Increase of 27% Median home price in US in 2018 was ~ $320,000 Median home price in US in 2022 was ~ $455,000 Increase of 42% INFLATION IS A BITCH. THANK YOU UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT FOR ALL THE HANDOUTS THAT...
  12. 11th gen Civic AC Smell

Maybe Im way off with this suggestion but any chance you are using the washer fluid on the windshield when u get the weird smell? I noticed the washer fluid has a strong odor and if ventilation is on it quickly directs it to the cabin.
  13. vs GR Corolla

Congrats on picking up the GR! In this world of boring crossovers I’m thankful there are some useable enthusiast machines left.
  14. 2023 Civic Type R FL5 - Reviews Compilation (Articles + Videos) ✍🏻 🎥

Even a standard Alfa Giulia rear wheel drive with a manual would be excellent daily. The handling and body motion are wonderful. A naturally aspirated 6 cylinder would elevate it even more. it drives like a early 2000’s 3-series BMW which says a bunch.
  15. How much would you pay for an USED FL5?

The owners who can’t stand the seat squeak are probably the sellers :p
  16. Do you consider the Type R as a limited edition or Special Edition vehicle?

Any niche item at a high cost and made in the thousands is not limited. Special is dependent on the person.
  17. How much would you pay for an USED FL5?

Ha, those prices are ridiculous for a used CTR that you can get easily new for $54k and below.
  18. New Owner Observation / Stories

mbaapk hit the nail on the head. The CTR has nice fairly short gearing paired with a good power band that makes 5k and below brisk driving enjoyable without having to get to lock your ass in jail speeds. It’s fun to row through the gears with its awesome transmission. Compared to previous cars...
