Here is a pic showing a constraint and how to overcome it so you can move the bracket more to the side. With that said the grill does start to angle more as you get closer to the perimeter
Yes a little but the factory grille opening is huge and the car is being used on the street so engine wont be stressed thermally.
If you were to track your car with one of these brackets on it is a simple case of removing the four small screws that hold the plate on so as not to block the...
I have not driven an FK8 so can’t directly compare. For the FL5 when in “Comfort” mode it is about as stiff as my Alfa Giulia Ti. The ride is not ‘floaty’ and the suspension quickly damps out sudden impacts nicely. It is NOT a luxurious feeling ride but instead is taut but comfortable. Sorry...
To date I am unaware of anything official for this car. So I am resorting to what I’ve done in the past when nothing formal is provided.
- within 500 miles I’m:
- avoiding full throttle acceleration
- avoiding long duration at the same rpm
- rpm no greater than 2/3 of the redline
- avoid long...
Interesting and funny!
Running errands today I found it really starts being very noticeable at mid throttle (I’m sure and higher but still breaking her in) and 2500-4000 rpm (again, breaking her in so keeping below 4500)
Daily driving prep modifications
- swap factory floor mats for Weathertechs front and rear
- installed Honda rear hatch protectors (bought a set lightly used from a Civic owner). Need to cut the small pocket from the right side to fit the factory subwoofer
- installed front Sly plate bracket (no...
lucky-ookami and modular cal mentioned The Sly brackets.
Bought it and installed the front plate today. Here are some pics.
Observations are:
- quality is nice
- the front lower mesh grill is fairly flexible so installed it closer to the side (to try and take advantage of the grill perimeter...
Administrator - not sure where to put this owner review, feel free to move
Early owner review of the FL5 in context of purchasing this car to be a fun, year round daily to occasionally haul a family of four and keep for at least 4-6 years. Car being kept below 4500 rpm and no heavy throttle...
Man that thing will be a winner if it looks like those renderings. Existing Integra has a nice side profile but is a bit narrow relative to its length. Flared fenders in the Type S probably will get the proportion near perfect
Huntington Honda on Long Island, NY called me today say their Championship White is available and just arrived. Did not ask about ADM but last time I believe they were asking 20k which so far they have not received I guess.
picked up my SGP from Barron Honda this morning. Guess all the Long...
The FL5 Sonic Grey is definitely darker than the standard Civic or Accord Sonic Grey.
The dealer parked them side by side. The pic below shows some of the difference. This surprised the dealer and myself. Like it a little darker
Welcome #618
She was just dropped off today. Picking her up in the morning and the 18” Volk TE-37’s have been wrapped in rubber, ceramic coated and ready to meet their Type R companion.
I had a custom plate phase for a few years. Realized for me it added no true value or enjoyment to the car ownership experience and stopped paying the extra fee NY charges.
