Just laughed a Texas dealer off the phone. He called me at 9am to inform me they have boost blue "on order." They only want a 5k non-refundable deposit w 20k adm. Told him he was waaaay off and then laughed. A lot.
I've seen no change. Nice dealers in Arkansas Oklahoma and Texas holding firm at 10k. Scummy dealers holding at 20k. Prob with midwest dealers with decent adms is that they are all 20+ ppl deep w deposits etc. 5k adm starting to seem like a pipedream if you haven't had a deposit for the past year.
Maybe just maybe, journalists have had 5-6 years to drive the FK8 and this is just an incremental improvement on that platform... so its not a stretch to call it COTY. Not that hard to figure out.
Please someone email Honda of America customer relations and ask them why the f they haven't slapped Gilman Honda for that. We should all review bomb them on google and anywhere else we can.
Yeah I really want one, but I'm not going over 5k. While I love the FL5, it's not the high-revving 90s styled Hondas that I've always loved. If prices are still stupid in a year I'll buy a nice EF sedan for 10-12k, stuff a B18C5 or K20 in it and run circles around the FL5s at my local track for...
Autonation of Lewisville TX had their BB FL5 on the lot for half a day then it sold at 10k markup. Called me when it arrived yesterday and said absolutely not to the 10k.
I like the Si, but for me the 1.5 is a deal-breaker. I also think the washed out weird red seat coloration in the interior is ugly af. The FL5 is probably the last Honda I'll buy (new anyways) and the tuning ceiling is just too low for the 1.5. The K series has been a rock for 20+ years and the...
Hopefully a stiffer spring will reign in the extreme damping and pogo stick ride that comes along with a stiff damper and relatively soft spring. Also cant wait until someone puts a fk8 final drive gear into a fl5 and reports back. Love both gens and i think with a little modding of problem...
Screw Honda of Denton. Bought an HRV there, was told we were first on list, then 2nd, then Ray (worlds scummiest salesperson) had the balls to ask for 25k over. That stealership will never get another dime from me.
I don't care about straight line acceleration. I care about track times. You are reading a post without the context of the conversation. I am pro 1/10th of a second gain on track bud. Tired of ppl whimpering about the car losing a roll race. The real win was it being faster around the circut...
That's fair and I understand your take, but everything is more expensive. If a track focused car is faster around a track how is the competition's lead growing? Who's this competition with a lead? Last I checked the JCW Mini GP was fastest to 60 among fwd vehicles, but it sucks to drive on the...
