If you're #5 at the dealership you're not seeing your car until late 2024, 2025 anyways, that's probably why your salesman is not communicating with you.
I offered them $99 dollars more than what you were paying and they jumped on it, thanks for the car!
Kidding, like everyone here posted, call them and ask. Sometimes they stay in the system for a while and then are removed when they know they are sold. A bunch of cars on the "R Finder" are...
Which part is contradicting? Absolutely some used cars are worth more than MSRP, almost every example used on this forum over the past year has almost reinforced that. Hell, 3 years later some cars are selling used for more than they were MSRP.
My original post was a question and an example...
Sure...all negotiations have to begin somewhere. I've had too many cars over the past 10 years to realize that the first offer is never the final offer. Most reputable dealerships seem to be ok turning a 10% profit on a car, especially when you're buying from them. Both parties need to feel...
I understand it's not meant to be a money making purchase getting one for MSRP and flipping it, but to assume a dealer is going to put this on their lot for an less than 33k is just not going to happen. A dealer would have to do nothing to a car with 1k miles on it, likely be able to add the...
Has anyone else experienced extremely low trade in values on the car you might be trading in for your Type R? I've been contacted by two dealerships notifying me they have a type R coming in and are looking for a 5k ADM for the car.
I was fortunate to get a 2023 Civic Si a month ago for MSRP...
I got MSRP with no add on or mandatory packages. I had to drive 2.5 hours and through several states to find a dealer but it was worth the price savings.
If you can get this car for anywhere around 32k you're well ahead of the game.
Happy for you my friend, you actually ended up with a better deal than what I have mine locked in for. Shows you what a little haggling can do.
You must have had a much better sales rep than I had at this dealership. When I talked to him and was told 9900 I told them I had a deal for 4k...
Hate to say it but you might end up taking a small hit on the car. While a 5k adm isn't bad, the car is considered used at this point which might come with a few thousand dollar penalty.
Hope you get what you're looking for!
Congrats. I have the same exact car, just picked it up January 8th after reserving it last August. I was fortunate enough to find it a few states away for MSRP, consider myself very lucky.
Enjoy the car!!
My pleasure buddy. That's what having a community is all about. Be patient, roll out phase will die down some and I'm almost certain you'll get the car you want. Might just have to wait until there are more than 20 total allocations in a 200 mile radius of where we live. I'll keep an eye out.
@StevenMatchett Looks like there was a whole new batch introduced into the in.honda system, Aspec posted a bunch of different dealers on the waitlist/confirmation forum. Not seeing them pop up on your finder
I think 10k is the magic number for a lot of people, seems like the cars that are more than that for a markup are sitting. West Coast might be a different story, more money over there.
