Other than the Civic Si I can’t think of anything else we get a better value on so don’t be too sad :) Look at what we pay on Apple stuff as an example.
They should do one of their fun Honda commercials with animation and all the different shapes of exhaust systems they tried before landing on this one… with a little creative liberty mixed in.
Same. For me it’s likely the winter tires and supposedly there are anti-freezing additives in our fuel (in Canada at least) we don’t get in the summer that also has an impact.
Source was a licensed Honda/Acura tech that spends his spare time on Honda-tech so he “should” know. I’m mostly sure...
I need to stop reading about the new Civics because I’m starting to hate my 2017 more and more every day :)
As with any champ it’s about putting it all together, not just in an area or two. Honda has stepped up their game with the 10th gen and more so with the 11th.
With the Si not coming in...
You or Honda are incorrect. From the Canadian press release linked above…
“The most technologically advanced Civic Si ever features a new 10-inch full digital instrument display.”

Someone needs to make a forum polling system where you put money into a pot to bet on your guesses.
Those that guess right get a share of the pot. It’ll have both the benefit of rewarding those on the right track and incentivizing everyone to think a little harder.
The “wait and see” approach is always best. Lots of folks are quick to dismiss without seeing and driving first.
Seeing the Civic sedan is enough for me to know I don’t want it. I’ll wait and see too but from what we’ve been able to see so far the Integra is the hatchback I’ll want.
If there...
Agreed. Ikeda seems to comment every now and then about the CDX coming to NA. He keeps saying there are no plans but that has to change eventually…seems the only thing they make money on are SUVs.
A CDX Type S would be a nice vehicle to move into after an Integra Type S.
If they keep pricing under control it’ll still be a good value in Canada. We got features on the 10th gen that exceeded what the price increase warranted. So for those concerned with bang 4 buck still a good buy.
However. The Integra is sure to steal some sales for those less concerned with...
To know for sure ya, but we have a pretty good idea where the bookends are.
The Intergra base is likely to start close to the Civic ST hatch with possible but minimal overlap. It’ll likely top out close to the base TLX with possible but minimal overlap.
Hard to guess where it lands wrt the...
I am too because they’re getting better at making vehicle-specific decisions lately. NSX going out with a type S, Integra rebirth, lift back on Integra, turbo 6 for TLX type S, etc.
A Type S manual makes all the sense it does for Integra. That would make so much sense I’d regain some hope for...
That’d be interesting… pretty rare for Honda to pair hybrid and manuals but who knows. Ikeda said electrification is coming so I’m very curious to see how them implement. A PHEV would be interesting but the extra weight would suck.
Time for some predictions…
1.5T standard, 2.0T for Type S (/w less hp than CTR because Type S should be a little tamer)
DCT/10A, no manuals (hope I’m wrong and 6M shows on the Type S)
AWD available (they’d be crazy not to)
35k - 45k (CAN)
Got my ”called-it” already typed up and ready to post...
That’s the concept but it’ll look almost identical. The TLX lost something from concept to production but not much. IMO it looks better than the TLX... but I’m probably just saying that because I was hoping for a hatch.
A manual makes some sense in the Type S but arguable the DCT makes more...
