Last month, I was in the market for new brake pads and struggled a bit to gather information on compound availability and model numbers. To help with this, I created a comprehensive reference table. I think this could benefit others facing similar difficulties, and maybe serve as a collaborative...
I just ran MX72P pads yesterday morning. Dropped seconds in time. Night and day performance from the OEM pads. I think they're great amateur/starter pads. I'm planning to move up gradually on pad aggressiveness as I gain more seat time.
1. Removing the nuts off the DP studs without completely galling the threads.
2. Attempting to remove the studs for replacement (could never find a solution that didn't require a welder). Would love help/advice on how you did it.
3. Angling out and pulling the actual DP from the engine bay...
No cooling mods on my FL5. I saw between 275-285 oil temps in the middle of my session at H2R in Texas. Mid-90's with a slight breeze.

2. I used a drill bit to cut a small hole right next to the...

TSP Downpipe finally in. Huge PITA.
PRL front pipe in. Super easy install. Fits like a glove.
I installed the TSP downpipe, but it took me much longer than I had hoped for. I ran through some problems during the install and was hoping to get clarity from people here.
1. I was lucky enough not to completely shear off the studs. That being said, I still galled a decent portion of the 2...
