  1. FL5 Civic Type R at C&D Lightning Lap 2023 -- lap time beats FK8 by 1.9 seconds!

You know the deal breaker for me on the FK8 is the cooling. I live in a very hot city in the summer time, like well over 100 degrees and that’s just the average days. My BMW dealer gave me a FK8 for the day and right off the bat I noticed the heat soaking. It really took the fun out of it...
  2. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

First of all you don’t know that they have been beat on. And I can assure you that any Type R you buy has been beat on especially one with 38000km on it. Secondly, if you’re getting a 2019 refreshed Type R for $41690 the only thing going through my mind is how big was the claim? Not to mention...
  3. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

So you don’t want to pay over MSRP for someone’s sloppy seconds FL5 with 800km on it but your willing to pay like 5k-10k over MSRP on someone else sloppy seconds or thirds FK8 with like 20000km on it? The closest one I found on Autotrader at original MSRP price. 9x,xxxKm! Saw this 2019 Honda...
  4. FL5 Civic Type R at C&D Lightning Lap 2023 -- lap time beats FK8 by 1.9 seconds!

The head scratcher for me is why wouldn’t they want the FL5 to be a better car? If Honda never built a better Type R than the First Integra Type R none of us would even be having a discussion right now. It all boils down to envy at the end of the day. I hope the next Hybrid Type R looks better...
  5. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

The one in Abbotsford was listed @ 90k. These donkeys are trying to set the market. I think my dealership wanted in on the game as well. They offered to buy mine back from me for what I paid.
  6. 2023 Civic Type R FL5 - Reviews Compilation (Articles + Videos) āœšŸ» šŸŽ„

I had the first allotment at my dealership for the first RS3 and had to pass on it because of the size. When I seen the second gen I was like I’m getting it! No bueno, Canada doesn’t get it for some unknown reason to me.
  7. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

The one that is 80k was listed at 90k until a couple weeks ago.
  8. I need to know which one of you is out here buying Type R’s for 70k

Haha this guy again. I thought I already told you that this is the FL5 forum not the FK8 forum. Also…if you guys are ever wondering what kind of POS keys your brand new FL5 look no further.
  9. 2023 Civic Type R FL5 - Reviews Compilation (Articles + Videos) āœšŸ» šŸŽ„

Yeah flying by other driver at a 120-150 km/hr faster than they are going isn’t exactly the smartest move. I was white knuckling just watching that.
  10. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

I had a dream last night that someone stole my FL5. Also now that I’ve had it a few months I realize just how lucky I am to have gotten one so early in the game! How lucky I am to have gotten one at all. I really hope Canada gets a nice flood of cars this spring cause I actually feel guilty...
  11. Spoon continues testing FL5 for products development

Ok for 2 grand I’ll just hacksaw mine in half!?
  12. Spoon continues testing FL5 for products development

Good pick up on the mirrors! They are slick.
  13. Where does the water end up? (FL5 hood vent)

LMAO! I was just wondering this same thing on the weekend! I’ve washed my car like ten times yet when I look under the hood you cant see any evidence of where the water goes. I knew it dropped down that gap but it’s nice to have it confirmed! Thanks for this absolutely needless yet highly...
  14. 2023 Civic Type R FL5 - Reviews Compilation (Articles + Videos) āœšŸ» šŸŽ„

Even if I was cross shopping the Civic Type R, which I wasn’t (ok maybe the GolfR). For the looks alone the CTR is worth the 10k premium over the Elantra N, not to mention the fit and finish and the fact that CTR is the better car IMO. I didn’t buy the CTR for its creature comforts anyways. So...
  15. 2024 Integra Type S Will Make North American Debut at Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona This Weekend šŸ

Maybe. I just think from a marketing point of view as far as the North American market goes it makes sense to offer a full fat version of the Integra to help boost sales of the base Integra’s. I honestly think that the ITS is going to be exactly the same mechanically as the CTR, suspension and...
  16. 2024 Integra Type S Will Make North American Debut at Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona This Weekend šŸ

If they come off that aggressive it will be tempting to trade in the FL5. I’m pretty sure mechanically they will be identical so it’s going to come down to a styling/luxury decision at the end of the day.
