I didn't realize I could do a nationwide search.
I just searched for 2022 Civic Sport hatchbacks with manual transmission on Edmunds and found 9 nationwide
I found even more using Autotrader
It seems like in both US and Canada, but especially Canada, Honda is moving the Civic "upscale". Remember the 10th generation Canadian Civic DX sedan with no air conditioning or cruise control? I think it was priced at about $20k CAD
In both markets Honda is abandoning sedans priced under $20k...

"We still haven’t driven the base 2.0-liter model with its 158-horsepower engine, but can confirm the previous generation’s 2.0-liter was still a mighty fun time with the six-speed manual. "

I have a 2018 Civic LX coupe and a 2020 Civic Sport sedan. Both with the 2.0 and manual. Admittedly a bit slow off the line but a lot of fun once they are rolling.
I plan to swap to lighter weight wheels on the 2022 Sport HB when I get it (probably 17") to help a bit with acceleration. Maybe...

". The engine purrs softly even when worked hard, and it propelled the stick-shift hatchback to 60 mph in 7.3 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 15.5 seconds at 91 mph. That's no real advantage over...
Really unhappy this color is not available on upcoming Civic Si. Or the Sport hatchback with manual transmission.
The LX manual transmission hatchback in Canada will have this gray.

Interesting article. With a lot of rebuttal in the reader comments.
I've been using Cars.Com:

Any other alternatives?
I may be wrong that 1 and 2 represent the engine sizes. Could just be the sequence #.
So maybe FL3 for Type R?
For those that hate CVTs it's funny that CVT 2 liter has "H8" designation. Coincidence???
As previously posted, FL2G8 is the chassis code for the Sport HB 2 liter with manual transmission. And FL2H8 is the code for the Sport HB 2 liter with the CVT. So the 2 is for 2 liter engine.
The 1.5 liter hatchbacks start their chassis codes with FL1
So the Type R should be FL2__
Interestingly the Canadian versions of the hatchback have different permutations/combinations and color choices (e.g. the Sport comes with the 1.5 there) yet they are all made in the same US factory.
