I am in this camp. Shoot, I even leave my car running in parking lots often b/c no one stupid enough to steal it is going to be smart enough to know how to drive it.
Nice write up! I want an Elantra N. I test drove one 6 mos ago. They wanted 31k used, and offered only 14k on my trade, so after taxes and trade, it would've cost 20k to upgrade. It's a great car, but there is no way in hell it's $20k better than my Civic.
You nailed it, the N is pure...
I completely understand the sentiment and conclusion of this review. I've heard many a YouTube car reviewer conclude that new cars with 400+ hp are straight-up dissatisfying when it comes to driving on congested, real world roads. In a small way, I even experience it in my lowly Civic Sport...
I feel ya man. I've been saying it for years, the EN is my next car. Only problem is I still love my FK7, and I don't believe the N is $20k better than my 6MT Hatch Sport. (MSRP+TTL minus my trade in value) So I wait, but I do love my FK7. The Borla exhaust w/ catted downpipe sounds very...
TRUTH!
My dealer wouldn't even let me sit in their FL5 on the showroom floor without talking numbers first w/ a manager. It was locked and had ropes around it! I've even purchased a civic and odyssey from them recently. Probably not going back there...
That looks great. But I've always had trouble with 15mm spacers. They're just not thick enough to conceal the nuts and then the wheels won't sit flush. How did you get around that. I always bump up to 20mm.
Looks amazing though, obviously!!! :drool::love::drool::love:
PPF installed on the doors?? That's a new one for me.
Bummer about the lack of memory seats on the touring. Even our middle of the road EXL Odyssey has 2 settings. It's SO nice.
Anyway, great car! Also, very cool your wife enjoys driving a stick. Complete opposite of my wife, I'm a...
Oh, so maybe it's a problem with the 2022 civic canbus settings. Just for the fun of it, you could try setting the canbus to a 10th gen year and see if that works.
I don't think I've ever messed with the 12v wire. Perhaps the 11th gen cam needs supplemental power? Sorry, I've only installed...
Without taking my unit out, I'm almost 100% sure I used the CAM VIN input. So I guess there are 3 yellow RCA's in total. Try the Cam Vin jack if you aren't currently using it.
And if that doesn't work, you need to mess with your canbus settings and make sure you have Civic selected.
Did you misspeak when you said you bought the M600s camera? Did you mean headunit?
Assuming your mispoke, I'm guessing you have your stock backup cam plugged into the wrong yellow RCA jack. If memory serves, there were only 2 of them.... Try plugging into the other yellow jack.
I have the...
Yeah, I agree. As a current sport hatch owner, I have ZERO desire to upgrade to the new model without the turbo. Stupid move by honda. They're losing many potential customers who share my sentiment.
