Great comparison! Thanks for the write up. I'm still on the fence about the 11th gen, but one thing my 10th gen has going for it is the Type R shifter I installed last year. Best $50 mod ever. I'm in no rush to upgrade.
You can get an Elantra N at MSRP (or less!) which is almost just as fun as the R for almost half the price if you include markup on the R. Plus it sounds WAY better. Just saying, it's an option.
I always picture Jessie's clownish Jetta from F&F when I see white on white. I know we're supposed to be rooting for Jessie against the evil Tran and his "Honda 2000", but I thoroughly enjoyed watching him get his ass kicked.
My local Honda dealer finally got their first FL5. Columbus, OH
"Great News! The Sonic Gray Pearl Civic Type R just arrived and is available. It is selling at MSRP + Lack of availability (25,000) + Ceramiseal paint and Fabric Protection (2495) + Security Tags and Warranty(495) + Title &...
Did you not have lug nut issues with those spacers? I would guess the 6mm you can probably get away with stock lugs, but at 15mm, the stock lugs still dig into the back of the oem wheel, no?
I'm confused. He didn't say don't modify a CVT, he said don't dyno one. So normally I would say modify any way you see fit... to make it more enjoyable for you. Exhaust, intake, suspension, wheels will all do that. But then as others said, it's a lease, so I'm not sure modding a lease is a...
So in less than 1 year, you will have had an Si, GR86, GT4(!), and Integra? Plus a couple trucks? I'm pointing to you when my wife criticizes me for wanting to upgrade my Civic Hatch in 3 years. "Honey, I know this guy who went through 6 cars in 1 year! I don't think I'm being unreasonable...
Good post. I just watched a Youtube vid by Vivid Racing where they tuned an Elantra N from the stock 267hp at the wheels to 322whp tuned. They had nothing but nice things to say about it. The EN has jumped to #1 on my list with the CTR bumped down to 2. GR Corolla #3. (I would love to have...
One of the reviewers (Goose? TH? TSP?) mentioned supply right now is super short, like 500 in the US b/c Japan needs to fill their 10,000 domestic orders. So..... we..... wait.
Does a record time at a foreign track really influence people's buying decisions? Either way, they can't build these things fast enough... Kinda wish they'd flood the market with type R's so I could get one easily at msrp. Let's go Honda, the demand is there....crank 'em out!
"Here in the backseat, we've got red seatbelts, soft black seats, built in cup holders...and...we still got red seatbelts." LOL, your son is awesome. So is your car. Very jealous. Enjoy.
