Not exactly “perfectly” lol
The guy from 717 shows that the new body style (obv being slightly different) the front mounting point didn’t line up. So he fabricated a custom bracket.
I also saw some do it on the Facebook groups without making a bracket. So it’s mixed. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
but yeah watch...
I mean no disrespect by this, however...
While I AGREE that they will likely retain the same C1 motor at 305hp-ish, any information coming from any of us, at the dealership level (be it stores & shops), that information is nothing more than speculation for now.
Back when I first saw the pdf manuals come thru the shop, I knew this OEM R.C. system would be an issue. The design just doesn't sit well with me. I feel like it could fly off with a simple yank.
Oh man... people are gonna shit!!!?✌
Calling it now...
I feel like until someone else replicates that sound, you may have an issue keeping these in stock! ?
Yes! Here’s why. I’ll try to keep this brief. After much research by many here, we are able to confirm that the suspension crossover goes like this.
10th gen hatch had 52mm front strut mounts.
10th gen Si had 53.8mm
10th gen non-Si (sedan & coupe) had 50.5mm
Now we look at the 11th gen so...
Ultimately, the two brackets that mount to the trunk are slightly curved from the factory, and it appears this person found the right angle and drilled a few holes.
I'm not surprised if it lines up decently. Not to mention, it looks GREAT on the sedan!
I gotta give Honda credit, (even tho I don’t agree with the trim lineups, power options etc) I must say, they made up for it in the design Dept!! Could be just me, but sedan and hatch, both just look good! Especially the hatch taillights!?
