  1. Official: 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback Revealed! Specs, Info, Pics & Video

The Good: Sharper nose and hatch look good. This is a much improved design over the sedan. The fact this version gets 180 hp on 87 suggest it gets even more power on 91 or 93 octane and Honda is (again) hiding the real power numbers. Seems like it should definitely get close to 200 whp on 93...
  2. 2022 Civic HATCHBACK Rear First Revealed Look!

Sad to see the ugly grille area carries over, but I think it looks better than the sedan version.
  3. 2022 Civic HATCHBACK Rear First Revealed Look!

See, I really, really like this rear and the grand coupe styling. I can get over the fake tips because that’s an easy aftermarket fix. My concern is with the front. If it has the leaked SI mesh grill, then I’ll be overall happy enough with the looks.
  4. Throttle House - 2022 Civic 1.5T vs Toyota Corolla vs Mazda 3 Drag and Roll Race

Yup. A 10th gen 1.5T would have gapped that Mazda3 from a roll, no sweat. This is all the evidence I needed of my assumption Honda detuned the CVT. For the sake of Honda, I’m really hoping the manual options in the hatchbacks and SI deliver the goods, because so far the 11th gen is looking very...
  5. First 2022 Civic sedan driving impressions / reviews roll in

Exactly what I was thinking of. Even if Hondata tends to dyno on the higher side, everyone who tested the base 1.5T saw that Honda was sandbagging. So it’s confusing as to why Honda would change a good thing it had going. I’m thinking that with the Clarity now discontinued and no more small...
  6. First 2022 Civic sedan driving impressions / reviews roll in

The more I look at driving videos the more it becomes apparent that Honda de-tuned the 11th gen CVT in order to increase fuel economy. There seems to be a lot of fake shifting now where the 10th gen would only kick back at redline. The relative fun of the CVT is making it climb revs like a...
  7. First 2022 Civic sedan driving impressions / reviews roll in

Yeah. Aside from the interior, there’s nothing I’m seeing as a real improvement. Unless the hatchback is more powerful or something I have no desire to have an 11th gen of any sort. It kinda makes me sad because I think Honda was stepping in the right direction, but made too many mistakes along...
  8. Throttle House 2022 Honda Civic Review

I about died when they brought the Accord out. This is all I see in this new Civic. An Accord for people who don’t need a larger car.
  9. 2022 Civic HATCHBACK Rear First Revealed Look!

You summed up all my thoughts perfectly. I was hoping the 11th gen would nudge the surprisingly good performance of the 10th gen models forward, but it looks to have not only stagnated, but taken a step back. I do believe Honda is really trying to funnel anyone looking for performance into their...
  10. 2022 Civic HATCHBACK Rear First Revealed Look!

I love the rear style of the hatch, just not those fake tips.
  11. Will I regret getting the 2.0 Sport vs. Turbo EX/Touring?

In terms of the oil dilution and such with the 1.5T, it’s overblown. There’s owners with $150k miles on their turbo Civics now with now issues. Powertrain reliability is pretty good. For a daily, the 2.0 is probably enough, but a lot of people get remorse since the 1.5T has all the aftermarket...
  12. 2022 Civic Sedan Aegean Blue Metallic Spotted in Honda HQ Parking Lot.

The more I see this car the more I’m disappointed. I love the overall shape and interior, but I can’t look at the front end or those ugly taillights without feeling my stomach turn. Honda was soooooo close to nailing it, but whiffed on the front/rear design. I look forward to an eventual...
  13. 2022 Civic sedan spotted outside production plant

I like what Honda was going for with a more conservative design, but the front end is just too soft and too plain. The classic Honda’s hand conservative styling, but that was balance against crisp/sharp lines and a clean aesthetic. The front end of this car screams 2012 trends, which just makes...
  14. 2022 Civic Sedan First Official Image! Specs and Info Coming April 28

You could just buy 9th gen Accord. It’s basically the same front end design, but cheaper and has more power ?
  15. 2022 Civic Sedan First Official Image! Specs and Info Coming April 28

I like the profile of the car, but the front end just doesn’t do it for me. At all.
  16. ? Production 2022 Civic Sedan LEAKED!

The flat lighting here sure as hell isn’t helping the conservative looks of the car. I really like the profile of the car, but the front and rear are snooze city. The Accord looks so much more balanced and aggressive . The upper grille area is especially unattractive.
  17. Video: 2022 Civic Hatchback spied in Ohio, with spoiler

I’m willing to bet this is the 2022 sport/sport touring hatchback. Honda seems to only like having visible exhaust tips on the sport models. I’m sure it will have some of the black trim details like we’ve seen on the prototype.
  18. World Debut: 11th Gen Honda Civic Prototype!

As we all thought, Honda is definitely going back to replicating German designs (specifically Volkswagen/Audi) for the 11th gen. With that said, I actually really, really like it. Even in this sedan form and I typically hate sedans. I know some will see it as a snooze fest, but I see it as a...
  19. Official 2022 Civic Sedan Teaser! Concept Reveal Coming Nov 17!

I imagine this will be the sport trim. Usually the prototypes are more akin to the sport models. More spy pics were seen and the exhaust were still hidden, so visible exhaust on the proto gives it away. I think this will be a much more attractive car than the patent photos suggested, at least in...
  20. Exclusive: 11th Gen 2022 Civic (Hatchback) Fully Revealed in Official Honda Patent Images

Man, going back and looking at the 10th gen hatchback reveal. People were hating on that design and now they say the 11th gen is trash. Might be time to admit we’re part of the problem, so we can blame ourselves for the more conservative design. I firmly believe the actual car will look good...
