As easy it is to remove the center console and readjust everything, I’ve been lazy and haven’t adjusted it ever since install.
I just got used to what I initially set it to haha ?
Acuity’s Short shifter / High preload centering spring and Shifter cable bushings is solid. Very notchy and satisfying mechanical feeling, definitely more than enough for daily driving/street or even Track use imo. Honestly no need for anything else unless you want something more aggressive like...
R660 is a really good all rounder/daily turbo. I wanted to have something reminiscent of the golden era Hondas reving all the way past redline. So I sacrificed the factory like spool for way more top end power. If you’re gonna track the car, I’d recommend smaller, faster spooling turbos like...
A few days ago, I finally made a trip up to Carlisle PA, and spun the DynaPack with Drob at IMW for a Custom tune. Despite high humidity and temperatures, we were able to hit some nice numbers! higher than I was initially expecting.
It was a very cool experience, but at the same time, it was...
Remember the demo video had the factory air intake and inlet which has a resonator (black plastic cover) and both reduce induction noise. This car is sold worldwide so they would have to comply with the usual noise regulations or laws. This also the reason why the exhaust is so quiet from...
I actually already have a little bit of flutter noise with my aftermarket bypass valve and upgraded turbo. It’s not crazy noticeable but I can definitely hear it whenever I let off the throttle/shift.
I wonder how the recirculating kit would sound like when paired with my setup.
Yeah, that’s the guy! Didn’t know he had a YouTube channel too lol.
Thankfully I also have a bigger turbo, bigger inlet with true 3” diameter all the way to the compressor and aftermarket air intake. All that should definitely enhance the noise, if I do end up running this haha.
Yeah, not bad for the price. Literally almost the same price as FK8 on Evasive Motorsports. I wonder how much the recirculating kit is gonna cost since it’s a completely different design from the 10th gen kit haha ?
Edit: Just now reading the product page on Evasive and apparently it already...
I forgot the guys name, but I remember seeing his video on instagram around 2 years ago. He has the HKS BOV with a recirculating kit on his FK8.
It was paired with an aftermarket inlet and air intake and the BOV was as loud, if not, louder than what HKS posted in their demo video. Almost the...
Curious to hear the return kit with a dedicated aftermarket air intake and inlet.
The factory inlet was designed to reduce induction noise, and factory air intake doesn’t help much too.
Is there any videos of their new Air intake system that was teased in Tokyo Auto Salon?
Nice! Your camber won’t be perfect like it was at factory height, but it’ll be close enough to factory specs once you’re aligned. Nothing to worry about though, it’ll be completely daily drivable and you won’t experience any dramatic tire wear.
My apologies, I should’ve been more specific haha. But when I said “not acceptable for Japanese vehicle inspections” I was trying to target those actually living overseas in Japan. That’s why HKS offers their recirculating kit to comply with their own laws for street use.
Here in the states, I...
Yes.. I already know that it’s coming with a recirculating kit. HKS already knows it’s needed for this platform since they made one years ago for the FK8, and venting to atmosphere is not acceptable for Japanese vehicle inspections.
Someone requested the downside of a BOV and I’m just simply...
No problem, this is what I just gathered these past few years. If you still want other insights, there’s definitely lots of talk about BOV’s on the older CivicX forum too.
My recommendation is to contact your tuner, or someone who consistently works with multiple FK8/FL5/DE5, like Derek...
