thats a lot of good input and yea I understood what you meant. I went with the EVS options just due to price and getting the same end result when its all set and done. I love Whiteline and have their whole catalog on my sti. Great brand, great quality. I only went with EVS for due to price point...
Thanks for the feedback! I just put an order in for the EVS ones. They are a little cheaper and will give me what I'm looking for. I also feel a little bit more comfortable with the design on the EVS over the little tabs on the whiteline
Teeter Automotive closed deck block and tuned by graham at boosted performance. There is a stigma with Teter so I shouldve went with someone more reputable but Graham has tuned over 6k+ subarus and have been tuning my car for years as well as scott speeds sti and he won gridlife in street mod...
So I havent torn it down yet, but I have a theory. It never failed on me as in like "broke" but I started to notice small amount of smoke coming out the exhaust and over time it just kept getting worse and worse so I did a compression test and it was 140 in cyl 1 & 3 and 130 -135 in cyl 2 & 4...
Thats awesome, Im keeping my fl5 fairly mild with just wheels, tires, ball joints, intake, acuity shifter, and sportline lowering springs. My fl5 is mainly a daily/dad car that I can have fun with and take to the track and do autocross events with. I have a fully track dedicated sti I compete...
Yea, that's probably what I'm going to go with due to price being slightly cheaper. Also, love the videos Ben! keep it up, I'm excited to see what you have in store this year. Keep up the great work!
I wanted to buy a set of whiteline LBJs when they were on sale for like 280 but I waited to long and the sale ended so thats why I think I might do the EVS LBJs
That's all very good info, thank you. I went with a 18x10.5 et47 apex vs 5rs wheel wrapped in a Potenza RE71-rs tire (275 35 18) so its going to have very slight poke regardless. I'm leaning towards EVS just because of the price is slightly cheaper and functionally do the same thing and both...
I dont think EVS makes a cheap ball joint. I know pointbypatrol runs them and made an install video and they seem to do him real good haha they are like 60-70 bucks cheaper than the whitelines but I dont throw bad quality parts on any of my cars
Any one have some pros and cons? The EVS balls joints are a little cheaper and Im targeting -3 camber for track and autocross. Ive always liked Whiteline and have their entire catalog on my sti. EVS seems decent, but I'm not to familiar with them. Any feedback about the 2 is great appreciated!
Yes, I ordered mine as soon as the sale went live and received them just before Christmas. After I ordered mine I checked later that afternoon and say there was a 90+ day wait time. I'm sure they are just playing catch up. The sale was really good and these wheels are incredible!
Im just going to start prepping for BST lol I wish they would hurry up and make up there mind. I find it weird we are matched with supras, but Im usually in my sti in XA aka "party class"
Love the videos! Project aero has a similar one, but I think theirs has 2 doors for the oil filter and drain plug. I have a feeling this one will let heat escape better.
Not yet, I just got mine back in August, but I have a track built sti that I compete in so Im kind of just mirroring that set up to the Honda. I can already tell im going to want a bigger rear sway to get the car to rotate better. I typically run lower psi on that on my RE71-rs tires. I plan to...
Do you stagger front and rear to help the car rotate at all? Ive seen people in autocross run mid 30s front and mid 40s rear which I thought was pretty wild. I know I'm going to have to play with them and get data as this platform is very new to me. I'm just trying to get a baseline where to start.
