Thank you so much! I have the alignment pin pulled and the oem top hats maxed (which I think is a -2.0 or -1.8). If need be Ill look into getting adjustable top hats for more camber. I run a -3.0 on my sti but I'm keeping my fl5 more mild. THANK YOU AGAIN!
Loving the build, if you dont mind be asking, what tire pressures do you typically run at? I do alot of auto cross and I know those pressures will probably be different than track days. I'm thinking 30 psi front and 33 rear once they get some heat in them on a 275 35 18.
Just ordered my 18x10.5 et 47 vs-5rs :) Do you know how they will fit with the eibach sportline lowering springs? I cant seem to find if they will rub or not when I autocross them. Eibach sportlines drop the front by -1.2" and the rear -1.0"
Yea I run -3.0 on my track built sti in the front and -2.5 rear. Part of me may just go with a 9.5 wide since im looking to do a 275 35. What do you think?
I have the stock top hats maxed and just some lowering springs. If I'm running a 275 would it be better to just do a 9.5 wide? Do you track yours at all?
Hey guys, sorry if this is already a thread. I've been searching, but I cant find info on rubbing and tire fitment for 18 x 10.5 47. I'm looking at getting the Apex VS-5rs wheels and thinking at 275 or 285 35 tire. Car is currently on Eibach sport line springs. Does anyone have pictures how this...
HAHA holy cow! You are "flying" lol I dont really see a need anymore to go Cattless with how far aftermarket support has gotten. I mean if you want to shoot flames then yea, but I'd worry about the AP not being compatible with flex fuel set ups. I know some set ups use different parameters for...
Would you have to jail break the ECU to use an AP or does the marrying process bypass that? I only have experience with tuning on the EJ platform so apologize for my ignorance. Honda is a new realm for me and I'm looking forward to learning as much as possible.
I really like the AP unit and it is very user friendly. The COBB team has always been awesome and their quality is top tier. The only reason I wouldnt use it was if I wanted to go flex or cattless. My STI is my track car that is going to stand alone asap, but for a mild street car thats a...
I come from the STI world where COBB was the best choice for tuning, but after green speed everything started changing. How does COBB differ from HONDATA when it comes to cattless or non emission compliant mods? I know turners are no longer able to turn those parameters off. Is there any reason...
Id love to right now, but the funds don't agree. I currently need a new block for my competition sti, so all my big extra income is going towards that. I really appreciate it though!
***UPDATE*** Last night I took the strut out again. I replaced the bushing the spring slides into on top side and I replaced the plastic sliding ring under the top hat. I did a test fit with the OEM spring and and placed the arrow facing towards the front bumper just like OEM. The Eibach spring...
I just did my buddy's lowering springs on his 2025 type R and the strut from the factory has the arrow on the collar facing forwards towards the bumper. Install went smooth and all bolts torqued to factor spec and no creaks on his. I'm chalking this up to being a faulty spring (which can...
Yea, I dont think its the spring itself, but its not totally out of the question either. Do you remember what was lose when you had creaking? I tightened everything to factory spec with the car under load as well. The only thing I could think it may be at this point is the orientation of that...
I've always done all my own work and have worked at a performance Subaru shop as well. I've never ran into this issue before. I'm not saying I didn't mess up installing them correctly due to the noise I'm hearing, but Id love a "professional" to just provide some insight on that collar and if...
