this is a special car. i don't even like referring to it as a civic. the type R is far from your everyday civic. you just have to drive one to feel the uniqueness.

6mm thread, 8 x 5.5mm shoulder. They stick out a little, but I was seeing issues in future with the Phillips head screws. P.S. they were so tight, I had to use an impact screwdriver on them? Why would factory do that??

Looks like a 71-77 Toyota Celica

The shield that covers the oil pan and filter. I replaced the Phillips head screws with shoulder hex screws. Also, considering removing the red engine cover. Concern is would it let heat escape better, or would it let the hood get hotter, and affect the paint if removed?
