I think people are having clutch issues despite the tune. However, if you are modding your car with a tune, you will most likely have to change your clutch before 50k. Maybe it will last longer but I honestly doubt it. I went in knowing that sooner than later I would need to replace the clutch.
It would be really cool if you guys could fabricate a case for these vents. I do not have a garage and don't plan to keep them on all the time. The box they were sent in is a little less than ideal for storing. I am afraid of them getting messed up. Just a thought.
I will answer number 3 and 4. Your gas mileage will not suffer from map 3. I drive aggressively often. My gas mileage will get to about 26.9 at the very worst. On long commutes I can keep it about 35. I could even do better. As for the shifts, the car still shifts very smooth. It is slightly...
We will be lucky to get this by winter. 27won either takes their time to make a good product or drag ass because they try to take on too many new projects at one time. I cant figure out which one it is. I dont know how big their company is but I wish they would concentrate on maybe 2 things at a...
Map had a rocky start but they made it right for the customers. The fitment was perfect for me. I think people had installation issues that were no one's fault but their own. I think map and 27won will have the best products for exhaust. 27won will have to make it worth the substantial increase...
Yeah.... having the TSP Stage 1 tune, I have no idea why anyone would want to drive the SI without it. i am not sure if I will have a reason to flash back to stock but if I do, it will be interesting to feel stock power again.
Did you have to unlock your ecu when you flashed back to stock for...
If your talking about the thread I think your talking about then you really shouldn't be that worried. That guy admitted in his post that he was doing something stupid and his turbo blowing was completely his fault. I would say go for it.... If you use one of these very reputable premade tunes...
That would probably be something they would have to specially make for you. I think they made a tune for someone on here to auto map 3 when key on without having the unit plugged in OBD port.
So far I am planning to go with 2+.
I have an aftermarket DP, CAI, and plan to run TSP Stage 2 Flex fuel.
Should 2+ be fine for this?
I plan to get the Drop in W1 turbo in 2020.
Can 2+ handle the W1 or do I need to go ahead and go with 3+?
I would like to get the 2+ for the street friendly...
So flash to stock, unlock from ecu, take to honda for recall, and flash the same tsp stage 1 tune just as we did when we first received tune? Honda changes stay in tact and everything is good to go?
I think I am going to be next. Hasn't started yet but I know its coming.
I want to see something from Centerforce.
Seems like not much is worth a damn out there. Should my confidence be lost with Spec? I was leaning toward Spec but now I dont know.....
Well I actually had a hard time with this also. Granted, it was my first time tuning. I was also pretty nervous about it. Have no help if I would have screwed something up. For a newbie like myself, going in and fucksing with the ECU was rather terrifying to me. Now that I know what I know, it's...
I run the tune no matter what is happening that day. If I dont want to drive with all the power I just lay off the right pedal..... or switch to a lower map (which I never do). I dont see anything wrong with driving like granny with map 3. I wouldn't take the time to flash back to factory just...
What is the difference between 2 and 2+. There must be a reason one would buy the 2 instead of the 2+ being it only has a $20 difference. I know the 2+ has more torque capacity but what else is different?
Is 2+ a tougher shift? If it is, how much tougher can I expect it to be? If the difference...
Do you want to go more economy than stock tune? If you have read up on the TSP tune then you should know that there are 3 different maps. MAP 1 will (I guess) be your more "economy" tune. MAP 3 for fun.
I used to switch back and forth between the MAPs but now I just keep it on 3. You never know...
