I agree which is a bummer. I will be replacing my 2022 Si with the Type R. I hope the resale value is still inflated when my Type R comes in.

I have a 2022 Civic Si, and recently sat in a 2019 FK8. I am 6' tall with a long torso. I was surprised to feel that the FK8 sits higher off the ground than my Si. Both seats were adjusted all the way down. The FK8 did provide more headroom than my Si.

The engine is physically the same so yes, exact. ECU is not part of the engine.

reallly love the gauges. couple observations: - shift lever looks bent back a little to get it closer to the driver? - still has serial number unlike some claims that the 11th gen R will be a regular production model - glossy black plastic for the exterior. I dislike this as it gets swirled up...

Yes, someone mentioned that the driver was not lifting when shifting. Hondata has this feature in their tune. Maybe it's an OEM feature for the type r

I think it has "flat foot shifting" feature where you just hold the throttle open between shifts to keep the boost going

I'm from Boston and I bought mine at MSRP with my dealer add-ons. I posted my findings on this forum and another forum. you certainly did not search the forums hard enough.

Not calling you a liar but it doesn't sound right. Dealers get what Honda sends them, they don't get to choose the color therefore you don't get to choose a color. when dealers get an allocation they see some basic details like obviously model, year, color etc.

The dealer who has my deposit also says Sept. I am 2nd in line but they only got 1 of 2021 and 2020. and a couple 2019-2017. Maybe I'm in for a long wait :(

If the Integra Type-S is the equivalent of the 2023 Civic Type-R then $42-44k is not unreasonable.
