After installing the ITS damper module, the ride stopped bothering me.
Much more comfortable in daily driving. Thirty minute job vs. hours for a suspension swap.
Increased sidewall height helps if you encounter potholes. Probably a good option in snow country.
As far as ride goes, the ITS damper module softens the ride and can be adjusted with the touch of a button.
Consider buying a set of used OEM wheels, so your car looks and handles like it should. I've done that for my last few cars, along with buying a snow tire size narrower and taller for traction and potholes.
Another time I bought a set of Pep Boys cheapest alloys for about $200. Offset...
Check the level in several parking spots to see if the difference remains.
Honda has an allowable for side to side differences, but I'll warn its quite large.
A friend went through this 30 years ago with a Civic SI coupe. Back then, the drivers side tended to be lower due to engine placement...
Might be the pedal switch. You might be able to push the switch with a screw driver to see if the noise is the same.
However, I had an Acura TL 6MT that started clicking around 48k miles. The dealer replaced the clutch master cylinder under warranty due to a broken spring. Clutch still felt...
Search "Tegiwa FL5 Intake" on YouTube to see their comparison dyno testing of several intakes and K&N filter.
It's a stock UK car (except exhaust), so OEM tune is likely a bit different from USA. Surprising how much difference they see with some intakes. They note ambient temperatures can and...
I've used both AMSOil MTL and GM Syncromesh with similar results.
GM reportedly changed formulation 10-15 years ago and I switched to AMSOil.
Motor oils and gear oils use different viscosity scales, so 5W-30 motor oil viscosity (AMSOil MTL) is close 75W-90 gear oil.
In the 80's-90's, Honda...
USA FL5's have digital HD radio, which automatically switches from FM to the HD signal if the broadcast is strong enough. An FM screen icon will indicate if in HD mode and the sound quality difference is quite noticeable - better than Sirus/XM in my opinion. Not all FM stations broadcast the...
Adding a little negative camber goes a long way, so I'd recommend adding it slowly.
I've had previous front drive cars with enough negative front camber to power oversteer. It was difficult to lift and rotate mid corner without spinning.
I've visited Limerock many times for pro, vintage, and SCCA events, but never raced there. I agree the AutoX track is great. A friend used to run endurance team Karting events on that track, but my schedule never aligned to join him.
The big track's downhill sweeper before the main straight...
Since swapping in the ITS damper module, the dash rattle is all but gone. Not 100% sure that is the reason, since I'm not swapping back and forth.
My odometer just crossed 2900 miles.
Roads in my area are a coarse texture, even when new. Previously, the coarseness triggered the rattle.
Basis for Si motor is a stroked 1.1L Honda Fit engine, which sets bore spacing (bearing widths) and head gasket webs. Stroking to 1.5L results in long, spindly con-rods.
Si motor is fine in low 200's HP. Above that will impact durability, which is okay if you've got plenty of $.
Conti's tend to have a much softer sidewall. This raised heck with a Scion FR-S stability control, but not sure about CTR's.
I had General's (Conti brand) on a 2004 Acura TL 6MT. Soft sidewall was very annoying in semi-truck wakes, where the car reacted weirdly to the turbulent air...
I've had an inexpensive Mityvac bleeder since the 80's. It's worked for all my cars and motorcycles since then. The vacuum pump needed a couple drops of silicone oil once, otherwise fine for all these years.
The Mityvac collection bottle is smaller than a car master cylinder reservoir, so just...
I've used K&N's in the past. More of a screen than a good filter. My CRX-Si valve guides were well worn by 90K miles. Engine did pull harder with the K&N.
I've used K&N's on motorcycles, but I haven't worn out a motorcycle yet.
K&N's generally have less filter media surface area (thinner...
I am thinking of adding a couple black thread stitches on the edge of the right bolster and align with a small silver Sharpie dot on the center console. This would visually reset the seat position after moving it all the way back for ingress/egress.
I'd rather have a stop in the seat track...
Mirror tilt is handy for parallel parking, but not good for reversing out of regular parking spots. My TL mirror had a button to select tilt and I don't see a button with this kit.
I rarely parallel park, but the backup camera guidelines are handy in those situations.
For sure the MSRP is going up, while the value of your trade-in is going down.
I doubt much change performance wise, as K20C output has been almost flat since 2015 and Honda is headed toward electrification.
