Nah, I can wait. I really like a lot of the stuff they have to offer and will be offering. In my case, it seems to be the fulfillment process that's gone sideways. They're just on the struggle bus right now.
For OEM accessories (trunk liner, back seat protector, wrapped shift knob), lately I've gone through the dealer closest to me in DC - Greenbelt Honda. They don't have an online presence, but they offer discounts if you order accessories in person. The parts normally arrive in a day or two.
Just a heads up for everyone with an outstanding PRL order. I placed an order on 7/4 for an "available" item and had been waiting for 2 weeks without a shipment email. I reached out to their support team and just got this response:
Lol, compared to a Sierra, Yukon and an X5 the CTR is an Isetta. It’s all about perspective I guess. When I compare the CTR to my S2K, Prelude or even my recently departed MK 7.5 GTI, it is quite thicc.
Y’all, it’s just a gripe…one feature, I feel is lacking*. Nothing more. My point was that in an urban environment where one has tighter quarters and needs to parallel park frequently, sensors are very useful. And having seen how they look on the car in other countries, they wouldn’t bother me...
For those of us who live in an urban environment, parking sensors are a very nice thing to have - and in some situations (even with the camera) a necessity. The CTR isn’t slim by any means, it’s a wonder I haven't scratched it yet. But that’s it, that’s my gripe. From what I can tell, nearly...
Just needed to take a moment and rant. My biggest pet peeve about my Type R is the lack of parking sensors. Seems like the rest of the world gets them but we don't. Don't get me wrong, I love the car - but it is super annoying not to have a feature that my old 2008 Mercury Mariner had back in...
I'll be keeping an eye on this. ITS' come with no front resonator, but is North America only. Alas, the CTR is a world car so has to meet other international noise restrictions. No front resonator and a larger front pipe (like PRL's) might be the ticket for me - as opposed to spending 2K for a...
I picked mine up on May 5th at Pohanka Honda in Fredericksburg, VA.
List: $44,845 (no accessories)
Market Adjustment: $15,000
They gave me "In Store Savings": -$6,675.25
Total before TTL & dock: $53,169.75
Did finance with Honda, but will refinance after 3 months. The rates were not good...
Hi All-
I wasn't wild about the teardrop style knob that came on my FL5 CTR. Picked up a new FK8 CTR one. Turns out it sat a bit too low for my preference, so I went to the optional Black/Red Leather wrapped one that Honda offers. Figured I'd offer the FK8 knob here since I'm sure many of you...
Yup. Can confirm my dealer missed mine. Drove home 65 miles on them. Noticed the car was sitting a bit high and thought, "well that is strange". Took a look and there they were. I did go on record with my dealer that they were there - but I just jacked the car up a bit and cut them off myself.
