  1. Current FL5 Market

Was in the market last week for a type R and the vast majority of dealers around me were still stuck at 5k over. Ended up finding one somewhat near me for msrp plus 900 for some random accessories. They were originally at 5 over but got it down as I said I would pick it up in a couple days...
  2. Model Year 2025 Civic Type R FL5 Shipments from Japan

Assuming that with a shipment that large it’s the last hurrah for the type R. Guess we will see. As long as they don’t announce it though it will be that much easier to get one at msrp.
  3. Post your customized interior

Looks great do you have anymore pictures. Also where did you get the dash and incisors done at?
  4. Black Wing

Trying to decide between these two cars now for a new daily.
  5. I’ll just park next to you thank you

Been over 20 years since I’ve incorporated this with numerous nice vehicles and have never gotten one scratch or dent. Really believe this is more of a perception problem. No matter the class of vehicle if it’s parked with everyone else you’re not unintentionally trying to say anything. With it...
  6. I’ll just park next to you thank you

I will say out of my own experience parking far away only brings unwanted attention to your car. Much safer to just park in the first spot you see between already parked cars.
  7. Whats your other car in addition to your CTR?

Still looking for a BB Type R but haven’t found one yet with <5k ADM. current Stable is Porsche 981S, 392XR Wrangler, Ferrari F430, & Porsche Taycan Turbo. One day I’ll add that type R I will probably just wait out the adm game.
  8. What did you pay for your FL5?

Seen your car at the dealer when it came in on the truck. Looks good glad you were able to make a deal.
  9. Type R (or soon-to-be Type R) owners, what else did you drive?

This may be tough to remember Previous 2000 Honda Accord Coupe V6 2003 BMW 325CI (Manual) 1990 Honda CRX (Manual) 1991 Honda Civic SI Hatch (B18B with custom turbo) (Manual) 2008 BMW 135I (Manual) 2011 Mustang 5.0 (Manual) 2011 BMW Z4 3.5i (Manual) 2012 Subaru WRX (Manual) 2012 BMW 335I...
  10. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Media Launch Questions for savagegeese?

Congratulations on the car and you shouldn’t feel bad about getting the car at msrp. It’s hard to believe people are upset at that now a days. For all the coverage you have gave Honda it’s literally the least they could do. Even giving you the car at invoice is nothing and no one should be upset...
  11. What did you pay for your FL5?

couldn’t agree more. Have never put it on any of my vehicles and never will. It’s just a car I can get it repainted if it really bothers me.
  12. How far away from other cars do you park your FL5?

I wouldn’t recommend parking far away. All it does is provoke unwanted attention. Best thing to do is to park in the first large spot you see.
  13. **Market Adjustment**

    What was your response.
  14. What did you pay for your FL5?

You can but you have to order and wait months. Hondas biggest flaw is customers cannot order vehicles.
  15. The FL5 Dealer ADM Markup Thread

So far piedmont Honda is 12k over sticker
  16. Backup plans - what's yours?

C7 just to clarify. I owned one for about six months and ended up dumping it. If it’s your daily I would recommend something else. If it’s a fun car it is hard to beat. It can do the daily duties very easily but is extremely frustrating not being able to utilize the power when you’re driving it...
  17. 🙋🏻‍♂️ Media Launch Questions for savagegeese?

Just want to say I am a big fan of all your videos and looking forward to the FL5 review.
  18. 2023 Civic Type R FL5 - Reviews Compilation (Articles + Videos) ✍🏻 🎥

Don’t understand why there are two separate embargo’s for this.
  19. Backup plans - what's yours?

while I haven’t driven the new type R I have driventhe last gen and both comp and non comp of the G80. The G80 has made a significant improvement in steering feel and enjoyment from the prior F80. Its more closer to Porsche then it has been in the past. While it has improved I still believe the...
  20. 2023 Civic Type R (FL5) U.S. Pricing: $42,895 MSRP

A correction for the used car market is for sure in the future. When is anybody’s guess. However while the type R will be affected it won’t be by much. It’s still a relatively low volume car. It will be the same with the high end low volume market Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. most likely...
