Not for me, I’m of the opinion carbon fiber items are bit played out at this stage. There’s no benefit to the vast majority of these items other then a bit of a visual appeal when you’re up close.
It’s not a bad daily driver but it drove me absolutely nuts the days I would use it as my daily. Too much power for the chases To enjoy on the road. Let alone the constantly adjusting tip in throttle. That and the creaks drove me crazy.
Price increase wasn’t much more than I expected. Was thinking 42 myself. Still a good price for this car in todays world. Now I personally would never buy this vehicle at 50 with a dealer mark up. At that point I would just rather spend the extra money and get a G80.
Fantastic vehicle I have had two of them and both were blasts. Verify to see if it has had its rod bearings done if not I would put aside five grand to get them done.
I know it may seem out there and not sure if you even have them. A 392 XR Wrangler is a blast to drive. It’s not a sports car by any means but is a lot of fun in a different way. I mainly came from sports cars and sporty cars and didn’t give too much thought of a Jeep till I drove one seven...
Totally agree with that comment as that when the car comes alive. That was my problem is I didn’t get much time to take it to the track to really extract the car. Also amazing in the mountains but majority of its driving was around town which wasn’t its element with its gearing. Still think...
Haven’t driven a 1M or the new type R. What I will say though is the last gen type R was more fun to street drive then the G80 (comp & non comp), F80, & E92.
there is actually quite a few on rennlist that have Porsches and have a type R as there daily. It’s a very fun car at least the last generation was. Don’t see this one being any different.
Backup would be to keep my 392XR for a little longer. If it pushes out a couple years maybe a G80 M3. Like others I’m not paying a mark up so I am fine waiting. I would do the PPF option if I had too but other then that it’s a no.
