  1. FX3D rock guards

Being Canadian, I'm quite bad with imperial measurements lol. 1/4" ID is fine. OD isn't that important. I'd say between 1/2" and 1" would be ok. The spacers I designed are 4.5mm thick so slightly more than 1/16" thick.

I mean, I could but it's nothing fancy you can't find at your local hardware store. Shipping cost is what's gonna make it not worth it in the end. Rubber ose gaskets or plain plastic spacers will be fine as long as the screw can fit through. Stack them up until the spacer is about 4-5mm thick...
  3. FX3D rock guards

Hey everyone, We have now adressed most of the issues based on your feedback: - Tighter honeycomb pattern - smaller fully black screw head washers - Now comes with additionnal spacers for the front lower screw. Helps with some people having issues with gravel accumulation between the guard and...

Those push pins can be a pain. Soak them in WD40 before trying to take them off, it works surprisingly well. You shouldn't be using that much tape really, I feel like 12" of tape is plenty for the install. If you follow the guide, taking off the tape's backing is the last step to do once you...

Use the smallest flat head screwdriver you have. Find one of the 2 notches and pry it while rotating your wrist left to right. As for the pebbles sticking in between the guards, try putting a spacer/washer that is approximately 2mm thick on the lower screw; between the guards and fender liner...

In cold weather, I don't think it really matters as the material becomes stiffer. But when it warms up it might become an issue since the oem mounting points are located deeper into the wheel well in the front. As for the rear, the oem screws sit relatively high. So, in order to avoid having to...

I'm genuinely sorry about that :( It is 100% my fault. The image shows how you should be seeing the mesh during the install process. The thicker edge is oriented towards the rear of the car, like the guide says. So you swap the left and right, then turn them upside down. As for making the STL...

Hey guys! Thank you all for the feedback, it's very appreciated. We are always listening to the community and improving our products (Like every manufacturer should do honestly). I came to realise that there has been a mistake with labeling and with the instructions for the fender mesh install...

Yup, winter sucks. At least this year wasn't so bad weather wise over here.
  13. FX3D rock guards

I know a few local guys, including myself, that are driving the flaps in harsh Canadian winter conditions. They are holding up flawlessly. They really help kick off that frozen chunck of snow often stuck between the wheel and fender liner.

Agreed, I'll fine tune the final design. This was just a test to see how that'd look.
  15. FX3D rock guards

Hey guys! I've been playing around with the design and was curious about your opinion. How do you like the new front flap honeycomb pattern?I was also thinking using the same pattern for the fender vent mesh. Verdict?

Glad to hear that! Share some pics when you're done. I can be reached on IG @fx3d.design

Just to clarify things up regarding the rear install. We supply a small #8 screw so it doesn't leave a noticeable hole in the rear liner. You DO NOT need to drill the bumper. This screw is NOT mandatory, but will help secure the flaps in place and relieve some stress off the tape. I would...
  18. Splash Guards for FL5?

Consider these aslo as they offer better adjustability and come with a seperate fender vent mesh. https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/fx3d-rock-guards.52992/

Hehe nice! You went full protection mode ;) I mean, the adjustment is mostly useful in the front if you run wider tires or lower offset wheels. In the rear, you basically just need to cover the bumper inner lip, but it's nice to be able to decide how much they poke out and fit the look you prefer.
