  2. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Canada got ~2900 FK8 AFAIK. The US gets 2.8x FL5s per capita vs Canada. Australia is 5.7x vs Canada.
  3. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Theres a new 25 at Burlington Chrysler for $69xxx. Someones allocation at Castle Honda was "stolen" last month.
  4. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Back In August these scumbags wasted my time. I called them about a new FL5 that was posted here. Spent some time on the phone, only to be told they wanted $78K total. It should have been the first thing out of his mouth.
  5. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

AFAIK the dealers have no say in which colour they receive. This is what I gather from this forum and from speaking with my sales rep. Honda is well aware the demand for this car far outweighs the supply (in Canada). Maybe they have a car on the way for you. There is a thread somewhere on...
  6. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Approving you for finance makes zero sense if the car is 2-3 years out as they say. Finance approval is only for a short amount of time, maybe a few weeks, before the creditor will require a new one.
  7. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Ive read on here that Canada wont get deliveries in winter. I assume we will get only 75-100 FL5 going forward, likely to be in spring and summer 2025.
  8. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Very few seem to be selling at elevated prices. There are now 31 FL5 on autotrader across the country. Havent seen this many before. The market for people wiling to spend $65K on these cars is pretty small.
  9. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Doesnt appear on my autotrader searches. What do you search for? I noticed all the "new" ones never come up even though I have "new" selected in my filter.
  10. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

I think Ive seen a SGP and several CW. A few werent their cars originally as per the carfax data I saw.
  11. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

I gave up and am going to get my deposit back, bought another vehicle. Honda Canada really fked Canadians. There is yet another new Fl5 at Markham Honda selling for $67999. This is the 3rd one Ive seen them sell over the last several months at that price. They clearly arent delivering to...
  12. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Not to rain on your parade but Maple Honda stopped taking deposits ages ago. These cars just go onto Cargurus and other sites automatically but are already sold.
  13. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Many dealers have been taking allocated units for themselves and flipping them a month later. That car is a 10K markup before tax. Im sure Honda Canada doesnt give a shit though.
  14. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Im not sure if we are getting any from the most recent shipment but 450 cars arrived at the post of Richmond 2 days ago
  15. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

There are several cars with almost no mileage listed for sale within the last few days. The dealers arent delivering allocated cars, they register them and once they are "used" they jack up the price to $68K. Honda Canada should cease delivery of Type Rs to these dealers.
  16. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Barrhaven Honda has a new RR for $71K
  17. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

I just called Wheaton Honda in Edmonton as they have an RR on cargurus. They told me they might have one with a few addons, block heater, warranty etc. asked him for the total price and was told $78000. Waste of time
  18. Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

From what I gather there are more Type Rs sitting on dealer lots in the US right now than the whole 3 year allocation of cars for Canada. Honda Canada really screwed up.
