Until I get a dedicated track car, I'm only taking the FL5 to well organized, safe, HPDE events up here.
With traction control/VSA on. I'll eat the brake pads for now.
I run DWS06+ on my other vehicles for summer. They are good - but nowhere near a real winter tire. There are no real winter tires in 265/30/19. Closest is 255/35/19
It's the same engine as the FK8. Although the turbo is upgraded. I don't think there is a single report of an FK8 going boom from a basetune. Most happen when guys go crazy with two step launch control IIRC.
I just reenabled the Nav on mine. I disabled it day one after reading about the stories on here, not realizing I had a newer software version in my 2024.
CarPlay has stopped jumping around on Google maps now. I suspect disabling the nav also disables the car sharing it’s GPS info with your phone.
Did my second oil change at 6000 miles. Only used on street for daily driving.
Some small debris that looks like black grit/dirt. A handful of small copper strands. Could not see anything floating in the oil - it was only visible after I drained the waste oil out.
I’ll be informing the dealer...
All of the online Honda parts websites seem to be glitching for the FL5. Can someone who has done the work verify I have the correct part numbers?
Drain/Fill = 2x 94109-20000
Check = 1x 90442-R7G-000
Thanks!
