If PRL built it this way, im sure there is a reason and it will be best for the car. They make top notch products for dailys to full blown race. These arent cheaply done with no r&d
Thanks man, like I said, your words give me encouragement. Ill be offering up another CVT soon for you. OT any good recirc valves yet? Have you seen any logs on boombas vta?
Oh ok, I guess there is some confusion then on the CVT and the computer controlling the amount or torque requested. Quite the debate around other threads on this. I may be confusing multiple issues. Have you figured a way to get more then 19 psi out of the turbo on a CVT? I get 20.5 but only...
will it be worth it for the CVT? Im willing to give it a go unless Im just maxed at FP tune and intake. Im not trying to make huge power for racing but if more gains can be had....
Well in the CVT, if you are cruising or not running enough throttle to get into boost it wont blow off every time. All its doing is releasing the built up pressure in the system to the atmosphere and the valve in the bov makes that noise. Boomba says they have no issue so far on their VTA that...
what do you mean by worth it? if you want to hear your blow off valve dump air to the atmosphere then are you willing to pay $170 for that? If so then it is.
I wish I understood this stuff more, Im reading up but i am not a tuner. I was speaking of Vit from Vittunned. He know his stuff and is a master with the K Series stuff and already working magic on these turbo motors.
I mean, you can do what you want to your car, but ignoring advice from a trusted tuner who probably knows more about this stuff than anyone here is probably not a good idea. to each his own though
You cant tune a VTA BOV on a recirculation valve system. but you CAN do whatever you want to your car though. Just know the consequences of using the parts you do
you cant tune for for a BOV that doesnt recirculate on a mass air flow car. The ECU expects the air to be there and will deliver the amount of fuel asked for by the ECU when it read the air flow.
running rich for a second every time you let off the gas over the life of the car is a lot of seconds to intentionally run rich so you can hear a loud woosh sound. Why not put the right bvp valve on, grab an intake, remove the resonator and tune it and voila, you have your woosh and a car that...
