Not all AutoNations are 5k over. Last one I spoke to was either 10 or 15 over. I've come to find most dealers do not have a set price and everyone is just kind of making it up, even between salespeople at the same dealer.
Well, hey, I hope you're right. But I'm just not seeing it. I spoke to a dealer recently that had 3 CTRs on the lot or in transit. They were still asking for 5-digit markups. 6 months ago, the prediction on here was that markups would drop as soon as the car became more available. It seems the...
Agree with above, basically no chance unless the stars align and you somehow snag one from an MSRP-only dealer. But I imagine every single one of those allocations are spoken for at this point. If anything, dealers continue to get worse. Dealers that were once 5k ADM are now 10-15k after seeing...
That has been pretty common lately. I have run into a few dealers doing this (buying at auction and selling for ~65k). Off the top of my head Buerkle Honda and Westshore(?) in Tampa both had lightly used/auction cars for ~65k. Glad to see they're both sitting last I checked. I had Westshore...
Honestly, that's not too bad and I would pull the trigger at that price (if the paint protection film is done well). Congrats. Every time these protection packages are added on to my quotes, they're like 7 grand+ for BS like "ceramic coatings" you know they bought for $12 off of amazon. Sounds...
Sprung a markup on me after we had agreed on a price. I now have an ITS reserved at MSRP, but I like the CTR more and I'm not sure the ITS is worth 52k to me.
The problem with this is.. how many people can just walk into three different dealerships with CTRs sitting on the lot? I have 3 different Honda dealers in our city. None of them have a CTR, and certainly not all at once. The vast majority of us can only call dealers and try to haggle, but as...
Literally the 2nd Acura dealer I called said they would put me down for MSRP on an ITS. Honda dealers still asking me to give up my firstborn child to enter a lottery to have a chance at bidding on a CTR.
I think the ITS looks better, but I prefer the CTR. Feels like a more special/unique car to me, and I love the CTR seats. If they had put the CTR (or comparable) seats in the ITS, I would be trying harder to finder an acura dealer willing to negotiate.
I'm merely responding to you saying I made up what I posted. Buerkle is allowing you to be on their wait-list, and their price really is that high. Whether or not you'll ever get off of that wait-list is another story, but I agree, pretty doubtful if they're quoting 2028. Didn't stop them from...
You can call BS all you want, but here's a 'used' one that they tried selling to me instead of putting me on a waitlist. I say 'Used' because they bought it brand new to flip, but the next buyer will now technically be the 2nd owner...
I had mentioned a few posts back about having a deposit down at 2.5k over MSRP. The sales manager for the store just called me to confirm that I knew there were required accessories with that ADM. Started rattling off 8k worth of accessories including those bs protection packages and other junk...
At/near MSRP, I get it. I cannot think of another car that offers this level of performance and engagement for <50k. There's also a huge nostalgia kick if you've followed Honda/Type R's in the past, which adds a premium for me.
What perplexes me is how many people are willing and able to pay...
Just another reference point, but I also contacted a somewhat-local AutoNation dealer in TN after seeing someone else mention they capped the ADM at 5k. They were quoting me a 15k ADM and would not negotiate down.
Edit - Just to add, I've also reached out to probably ~20 dealers I have seen...
Thanks - I"ll believe it once the car is in my possession, hah. I've had too many dealers not honor their word with this car to really trust even a deposit at this point.
I like it, but not enough to prefer it over the CTR. I was hoping it would be a slam dunk and I could move on from sitting on a CTR waitlist. I like the upgrades it has w/ the sound system and exhaust, but I don't understand why they designed fenders that look tacked-on without actually being...
I definitely understand we're in unprecedented times and this is happening across many brands. Maybe it's just my perception, but Honda seems to be the worst right now. For whatever the reason, they seem to have been impacted the hardest by Covid supply shortages and have had the slowest...
Finally got a dealer to accept a deposit on future allocation at $2,500 over MSRP. 2nd on the list so 1-2 year wait is their expectation. Fully refundable so who knows if the deposit is even worth the paper it's printed on.
I have to say, though, as much as I love(d) Hondas and love this car...
