Liking the tune. I have about 14k miles on vit's tune. I feel the top end is better on TSP's but the low end is better on Vit's stage 1. I feel myself having to stab the throttle more to get the same oomf from TSP at low rpm.
BUMP for auto-rev match and also a 4th map option that will auto tune itself on ethanol. as JB4 does. v1.2 or v2 should have the capability to do this if left plugged in.
His tunes are locked to your ktuner dongle Serial Number. There is a sticker on it with it. However, the ECU/software part numbers need to match to be able to use a stage 1 file on another SI.
you could try reverse engineering the file to see if you can inject the new SN or change the SN on...
Also worthwhile to keep in mind that Honda aims for 0-7% stft's or ltft's when tuning the MAF scale in their hondas.
In other words they don't do such a great job. I've had to increase the maf scale by 3.5% in spots to get it within 0-5%
Interested in compatibility with complete OEM downpipe and exhaust. Would be interested in getting rid of the massive power drop up top but not interested in E85 or max gains. 280WHP would be fine with me.
Is it possible to get the SI or EXT to rev-match on it's own like the type R? All the sensors are there no? If not retrofitting the type-r sensor and adding it to the ECU should be possible right?
The only way to get around this is to buy a new ECU from Honda or a crashed car use a BDM to copy your entire ECU over to that one then flash as you wish Then if there is an issue plug in your untouched unmodified ECU.
But a new ECU from honda is probably too much to make it worth your while...
