Mine's going to be ~60k OTD. Blackwings are obviously a good bit more than that, but a CT4-V base is ~65k OTD with some packages, so it's comparable for me.
If only I liked the look of BMWs like at all. Something about them I find hideous. But I'm going to a diff area for more test drives this weekend. A diff dealership has some really well priced CT4-Vs and next door some RS3s are actually in stock. While both will be a bit more OTD than the CTR...
Yea, dealers can only keep interest so long. If mine's not here by the end of the month I'll probably ask for my deposit back and just buy something else unless they lower the ADM.
My dealer said it's on a train and when it arrives in Alabama it'll be on a truck here. Whether it's actually on the train or not is another thing entirely, but that's the info they got I guess.
The benefit of working from home is that we do daily the MX-5. The only reason we need a 4d is for company -- cant exactly tote many people around in a 2 seater -- and when we need a bit more space than the miata can give.
Dealer just asked about my trade-in and everywhere has offered me 14k...
Definitely all weather floor mats, though I thank god I don't really need to winterize my vehicle in the southeast. Even in the rare event it snows you DO NOT want to be on the GA roads in ANY vehicle except a Mad Max bus to fight in the snow wars.
Likely custom lights, uncertain what to go...
Not surprised they are. In the South/SE $20k is pushing it. I know near me only one dealership was asking $20k and was the only one that called me back later, so I suspect all the $10k markups didn't need my business so someone already bit on those. It seems like $10k is about the line for the...
Aside from the fact that people might want a CTR instead of an M2 regardless of price, there's also the case that if you're going to wait 6 months for delivery then you might as well wait 6 months and get the CTR for MSRP or 5k ADM (prob 5k ADM in 6 mo).
Yeeeep, it's always good to remember the salesperson is doing their job. The dealer's owner and/or GM are the real bastards, but you're not talking to them on the phone. Plus, you catch more flies with honey, so be polite.
I can't even find MSRP M2s near me. Because there's no M2s at all available around here. And I definitely can't find any M3s. There's a few RS3s around, but they'll be $70k Otd, definitely not $50k
Exploiting your customers is the name of the game for most of the exceptionally rich people. The only odd thing here is that he's publishing his wild expenditures. Most of the dealership owners didn't even start their dealerships, they were born into it and will die with it. They usually do coke...
If you only consider CTRs with the largest ADMs (20k+ and mandatory accesories), then they equal a 70k+ OTD rs3, but yea, none are barebones and those may also see mark-ups in some regions. Many of the places with the markups of 20k+ will also be seeing cars like RS3s and IS500 F Sports with...
Yea, the OTD price for an RS3 with 0 options/accessories will be mid 60s near me but getting ahold of one will be difficult. Similar to the blackwing, I think most you'll find will end up in the 70k+ range (various packages), though it may be harder to get your hands on than a CT4-V Blackwing as...
So, with it taking so long, for fun I went and test drove some cars (4-door only) that are in the 50k-70k range OTD (so low 40s to low 60s msrp w/ options), so +/-10k of what I'm spending on a CTR. You know the CT4-V and CT5-V are still growing on me. It's not as "fun" as a Type R (or even my...
