  1. $15k price markup on 2022 Civic Hatchback Sport Touring!

    Yeah
 that’s a throbbing negative.
  2. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

I don’t know. We’ve been stuck in an 8 hp window for 15 years now, since gen 8 came out. I understand peak numbers aren’t everything but I do think they generate interest and sales. Plus, if peak numbers are higher, then you’d figure that’s still on a factory tune with some margin left for...
  3. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

    Here’s a question
if the turbo spools 300 RPM sooner, did they ditch the HP variant of the TD025 and make the LP variant standard across the whole L15B7 line and just pull out a little factory boost taper or give it a tiny bit more to hold power a little longer, albeit with a lower peak? I...
  4. 2022 Honda Civic Si World Debut! ?

Hmmm. I can’t recall being this disappointed in a car I wasn’t planning on buying regardless. What a letdown. Honda just pulled a gen 9 so far as the Si is concerned IMO. I’m not sure how competitive it’ll continue to be amongst its peers for the initial buyers, though I’m sure it’ll still make...
  5. World Debut: 11th Gen Honda Civic Prototype!

It’s a mixed bag of better and cleaner look and doing away with the gaudy bits from gen 10 that I think will age badly with time... but looks softer to the point the lack of angles and sharpness take a little away. Screams VW to me. I absolutely despite the “nailed on tablet” infotainment look...
  6. Exclusive: 11th Gen 2022 Civic (Hatchback) Fully Revealed in Official Honda Patent Images

I see it with the light bar... but it still looms like this to me. Side mirrors aren’t as tucked as the Insight though. The bumper lines... trunk... reflectors...
  7. Exclusive: 11th Gen 2022 Civic (Hatchback) Fully Revealed in Official Honda Patent Images

Just thinking of an incremental update... Insights have a Cd of .25. CTRs supposedly have a .26. Regular Civics should be in the .27 range from some extrapolation and claims. It might be good for a little bit more highway efficiency by essentially trickling down the Insight design. I can’t see...
  8. Exclusive: 11th Gen 2022 Civic (Hatchback) Fully Revealed in Official Honda Patent Images

Very possibly... a though looking at the new Civic... and the fact Honda dropped the hybrid Accord and Civic... I almost think “Insight” is going to be more like a Civic trim level. There are already close. Heck, we’re having a good deal of threads where people are putting Insight trim panels...
  9. Exclusive: 11th Gen 2022 Civic (Hatchback) Fully Revealed in Official Honda Patent Images

Yeah... current one. A mash up of Civic and Accord (get some of the nicer Accord stuff but in a more Civic shell). Lights...front fascia and all look a lot like this gen 11. I’m almost wondering if they’re trying to shift the Civic to be a non-hybrid Insight and remove their differentiation...
  10. Exclusive: 11th Gen 2022 Civic (Hatchback) Fully Revealed in Official Honda Patent Images

A little too Accord. Not sure where they’re design language is going. Looks like they sprinkled Insight and Accord in there. It definitely doesn’t need to be a bigger car but I wonder if they’ll sneak another half inch or inch in. I’m fine that they got away from the fake vent-fest... but the...
  11. Motor Trend's render of the 11th gen Civic sedan

As to a 1.8... I do not think there’s enough size in the L block to bore to 1.8. They’ve never offered an L in that size... but do 1.2-1.5. I can’t imagine they’d go back and massage an R18 which looks inferior to todays K20C2 and who's VTEC was economy-based rather performance. I think a K20C4...
  12. Motor Trend's render of the 11th gen Civic sedan

Honda themselves haven’t announced or shown anything for a car that could release within a year... this? Not that I’ve seen anyways. I kind of don’t buy it. They had the ‘16 Civic concept running the auto show circuit as early as March 2015 and we knew gen 9 was done. There’s no been no...
  13. So.... 11th gen civic

I'd of bought a 8th gen over my 9th gen Si... had they not held their value so well that I felt like getting a '15 for around 22k OTD was better than buying a '09 or '10 for around $15k. Even the earliest 8th gens were about $10k with high miles and shot paint. At least I got one of the late 9th...

  15. 27WON - Testing the OE Turbo Inlet Pipe

At least it makes swaps easy... Saw your raffle. Very good of y'all. Throwing a tenner in for TIP #1.
  16. 27WON - Testing the OE Turbo Inlet Pipe

...so it’s been 2 days. Just sayin’.
  17. 27WON - Testing the OE Turbo Inlet Pipe

Looks like there might be some serious gain at the top of the power band. Interested! I think I want your TIP inside (my car). :hmm:
  18. 27WON - Testing the OE Turbo Inlet Pipe

Looks impressive folks. Looking forward to some dynos on low/stock boost levels vs high boost levels and if our stock TIP is quantifiably restrictive... and if what was likely good enough from the factory becomes an increasing bottleneck as we push our cars. Keep checking for blog updates...
