  1. Anyway to completely turn off the "lane assist" of the FL5?

I tried this the other day and it would not unselect. It was a bit odd.
  2. I switched from GRC to FL5, here are my notes

Same, So far I've thought it's pretty solid for what the car is and is supposed to be, especially in comfort. They were right about +R mode being like a bouncy house though lol
  3. What did you do to your FL5 today?

Let me know if you figure something out, I wish you luck!
  4. What did you do to your FL5 today?

I also got the alcantara wheel and have been wondering how to keep it in like new shape. I've only had the car for about two weeks so I'll give this a try in about another two, I don't want it to flatten out. Any tips on keeping the seats clean/protected? I was considering trying 303 fabric...
  5. Question about missed shift.

Damn, happy to hear your car is alright. I'm in Greensboro but my sister lives in Cary so I go up there periodically.
  6. Question about missed shift.

Are you new to M/T as well? Btw, a fellow NC'er, what part are you in? Maybe I'll see you on the road!
  7. What did you do to your FL5 today?

I'd like to know as well, been thinking about some mats with a checkerboard pattern.
  8. Question about missed shift.

I can thankfully report I have not done any missed shifts since my original post and have found shifting up and down pretty easy once I learned how to position my hand based on what gear I am going for. I feel pretty confident but still check my gear indicator on the dash before letting up off...
  9. Question about missed shift.

I wasn't going any faster than 45-50 which revved it to just about 5k, I also didn't fully let off the clutch and immediately pressed it back to the floor once I heard it ramp up. Thanks for the advice, no first unless I'm at 0 mph. I thought being in second would bog down the engine being...
  10. Question about missed shift.

I feel decently confident I've adequately learned my lesson. I was somewhat panicking in traffic and manhandling the shifter more than I should have. I tried again today and applied only a small amount of force and let the centering do it's thing. I also made sure to place my hand on the correct...
  11. Question about missed shift.

Thank you all for your responses, I've been reading them periodically while at work. I am happy to report I did really well today. I rarely toot my own horn but I missed no shifts, didn't stall once, gave nearly the perfect amount of gas to get going/reverse and felt really good about my...
  12. Question about missed shift.

Thanks again for the info, I'll avoid shifting to 1st for the foreseeable future untilI become more accustom to the car and driving stick in general. Any other tips I should know during this crucial period?
  13. Question about missed shift.

Thanks for you reply I have not, any any point so far, exceeded 55-60mph in this car. I was probably going 40-45 if I had to guess, maybe less. Either way, Later on in the day I was downshifting from 2nd to 1st going less than 10mph approaching a stop and decelerating and heard a metallic...
  14. Question about missed shift.

Lol, thanks for this. After the third time I just sat in park and practiced downshifting the stick gently and am pretty sure I've got it down so it doesn't happen again. I'm incredibly anxious about messing it up due to inexperience but have also heard its a great car to learn stick on, I just...
  15. Question about missed shift.

Hey all, I got my type R last Saturday and have been learning how to drive stick on it. I've taken to it pretty quickly and can reliably get to work and back without much fuss. My question is I've accidentally shifted from 5th to 2nd about three times now, I was not exceeding 45-50mph in any of...
  16. 2023 Civic Type R Waitlist / Deposit / Reservations List - Check in here!

If anyone is looking for a Grey Scott Honda is Vineland NJ is getting one in the new year, I just bought their CW and they were mad easy to work with. Originally 5k over including some add-ons but they came down over 3k and made me a solid deal. and were very professional about it. Picking it up...
  17. Crowd sourced FL5 Type R vehicle/dealer markup map

Wondering the same. I've got a few dealers I've spoken to that want to move their cars at 5k over and I was gonna see if I could shake one down to 2-3k over. Now I'm thinking I could use this info to nab an even better deal.
  18. 2023 Civic Type R Waitlist / Deposit / Reservations List - Check in here!

Sure, Ideally I'd like to make a move toward the end of the year when they are most likely to come down off their high horses. There is a CW only a few miles from me but they still want 10K over for it, It's been on their lot since at least Sept..It's wild they would want to hold on to it for...
  19. 2023 Civic Type R Waitlist / Deposit / Reservations List - Check in here!

Think they would have a little wiggle room on that markup? I'd be interested in the CW but my max is 2, *maybe* 3k on one of these.
  20. Crowd sourced FL5 Type R vehicle/dealer markup map

First time potential CTR buyer, do you see them dipping any lower? I could be in the position to make a move on one early next year but I also don't wanna be blatantly screwed over either. I'd love MSRP or only 2-3k over and assume time is on my side but I'm also new to these vehicles.
