I daily drive my car 100 miles a day, (2,000 miles a month). No, issues! Track day this Thursday at Sebring too!
Curious to see what you come up with though! Have you seen P3s design for $400?
Agreed! I actually paid like $105 with tariffs for the Spoon knob! SMH but I do like it!
I didn’t like the oem or the red leather oem knobs and thought the type s one was ok. So the Spoon was worth the money to be happy with it.
Yes, stock charge pipes work just fine. I will upgrade them in a couple of years probably.
I just put charge pipes in the category of look good and very minimal gains (like aftermarket inlet pipes and aftermarket front pipes on stock exhaust).
i would rather spend the $300-400 on other mods...
I just popped the bumper off and swapped the HKS in. I had cut and moved the sensor when I originally did the PRL install.
Pics are just for reference.
I have not gone back to the track yet (March 12).
When I swapped out the PRL intercooler I also upgraded to the CSF radiator, added the WOT plate and HEL oil cooler…. so I won’t be able to give any real data on the HKS intercooler. To many changed variables.
However, the HKS intercooler did...
Current prices:
RV6 tube and fin: $749
PRL bar and plate: $799
PRL tube and fin: $999
HKS tube and fin: $1040
Mishimoto bar and plate: $1195
MDR bar and plate: $1199
WOT microtube: $1650
PWR bar and plate: $1749
I’m sure the MDR is a nice intercooler like the rest of their products and great...
The first picture is my old PRL bar and plate intercooler above my new HKS intercooler.
Second picture is the “new” PRL tube and fin intercooler that seems to have the same skinny fin spacing as their bar and plate version.
You be the judge on which intercooler is going to allow more airflow...
Front left and right was clicking. (Right was louder)
I park on the 4th floor of a parking garage for work everyday and the clicking used to be so bad going up and down.
Now it’s gone. I don’t know what it could have been
I just switched from the Type S shift knob to the Spoon. Can’t go wrong with either! Both are better then the shiny grey dildo looking knob that comes from factory lol haven’t seen the overland console yet tho!
A $100 shift knob, $200 center console overlay and a used $220 ITS module go a long way in making the car feel more premium. Plus the R+ mode cluster is a lot better.
I’ve been kinda thinking the same thing. But haven’t had the air conditioning on in months. So now that summer is approaching. I’ll see how noticeable the vibrations are before making any changes.
