I have one of those and they are excellent for this kind of job. Transmissions, differentials, transfer cases etc. Also, it's big enough to get a gloved hand inside of it, so I can wipe it out when switching from trans fluid to gear oil.

Did you choose those locations deliberately? I've wondered about improving heat evacuation through the hood, specifically about making the center air port larger (and lowered at the rear) and making a larger "scoop" of sorts underneath the port in order to help evacuate the air exiting the...

On a separate note ... the forged wheels arrive with a small decal on the lip. Can anyone confirm that this is a balancing reference point and/or light spot? I usually mark these with a dot of paint for future tire balancing reference.

It seems to be commonly available for around $80, that's much less than I was thinking it would cost.
