Always datalogging.....Usually have an average trip with regular stop & go traffic with bursts of acceleration & a really nice set of curves.
KControl started off at 0.74 this morning.
Just left the car on Map #3 was running beautifully coming up to full temp creeping through the neighborhood...
No, I was actually wanting the same. I usually don't run my V1.2 after I know my tune is good and due to the heat/cold.
I usually run Map #3 as #1 so when I have the tuner out it's still on my "best" map and then I can step down to (2) other maps. Currently you'd have to set it up to Map #3 on...
Took the car out again for datalogging on Map #2 to start and Map #3 for the trip home. Wanted to get Rob as much data as possible after my datalog fail earlier. Interesting as always!
76F Ambient temperature with no wind & car warmed up to temp, no noise from the controller on the head...
Yep, as I stated earlier but is 2 hours from me and it's mostly on the Missouri side, two state city.
They also have ethanol blends.
Pull up Kansas on a gas map, I cannot find anything. It use to be everywhere!
Yes! I was much happier with the results today. Just went to grab dinner and the wife was driving like she stole in on map #2....dropped my KControl down to 0.57 now. Much more in-line with what I would see with the 19.5/23 Dual Starter Map. The valve on top of the motor was not making any noise...
No, I live in a very populated area and using various searches like above I cannot find any 93 octane in the state. No idea what Kansas did, you can only get it on the Missouri side of Kansas City based on what I can see. You can have Top Tier gasoline without having 93 octane.
I've tested...
Interesting results in the perfect 83F weather.
Turned the car on and started datalogging with KTuner & TunerView as backup. KControl was at 1.05 when I started datalogging.
Took a 10-15 highway spin out to a very nice high speed road with lots of corners. KControl went all the way down to...
Believe something else is going on other than gas, have had no issues with 91. One of the reason I went for this tune, is because it advertised 91 and I was prepared for slightly higher KC but nothing like this!
I went from perfect 0.50-0.60 numbers for months looking at my datalogging.....I...
Exactly where I was at for KC values previously. Why I'm puzzled with the massive spikes now.
It was overnight on the same tank of gas that I saw a slight KC bump, just happened to coincide with the OTF updates. Have nothing else i can think of that changed.
Nothin moving that vast until last...
Interesting trip to the Shell Station for V-Power 91 and started both TunerView and KTuner Datalogging.
Got into a few scrambles with done V8's and this map was amazing. They were even pretty amazed as this little 1.5 was actually pulling on the top end.
If I wasn't having KC worries I'd be...
Sounds good. I'll see what the KTuner datalog file output is in TunerView or have my wife hold the laptop tomorrow.
Looks like there is no 93+ gasoline within 2 hours from my location. Gonna have to go see VP Fuels and see what they have.
I didn't figure anything regarding the update would...
Yeah, looking back at my past .csv TunerView datalogs were showing 0.60-.0.70 all the time. Even in crazy heat and A/C load.
I was on the same tank when I updated and noticed the change immediately but didn't think too much about it at the time.
My numbers jumped probably +0.10-0.20 with that...
Wow! Completely different power! Totally worth the price of admission!
Power everywhere and top end like a Honda should have!
I see exactly what you mean on the 1-2 up shift. The power is instant! You really have to be smooth or you're into power immediately. I thought it made it quicker and...
Oh, thanks.... I'll keep a look out for that.
I usually shift between 2500-3500rpm. Mine was pretty "Bucky" as well with the 19/23 turned up until I added my stage one intake or added throttle padding.
Got even worse with the A/C on and part throttle.
I'll be testing the driveability as well...
I dunno, is that what that setting does?
(I couldn't find anything in KTuners help on it but may just be missing it).
They left the error code selections conpletey unlocked which is awesome!
Just not sure how much is disabled with that setting but you can click it off.
I loaded (2) TSP Stage 1...
Finally got back to the house, tune is loaded up and ready for a test drive.
Need to get cleaned up and I'll have a good review of the tune for everyone especially just coming off a fully turned up 19.5/23 map. Will be using TunerView and their csv format for datalogging.
One question though. I...
Awesome info! Knowing mine & the cars luck I'm probably that one out of 20 cars! lol
Ole' piezoelectric crystal microphone! haha.......I still remember the days of the ear/screwdriver/can on the block techniques!
At least we can sit back, relax and watch gauges now a days!
Appreciate all...
Appreciate the advice, good to have someone very familiar with the platform!
Thank you for your contribution and tune! Can't wait to ditch the inlaws and go flash it!
Still trying to learn what's normal for these cars. But it's just as you say, like my car just moved into that range as it's new...
Anyone got an update on how this tune is working for them? A little concerned with KC lately.
Been holding off to loading mine up as I've been busy and also fighting higher than normal KC. Been running the 19/23 map for almost 2000+ miles and always been around .58-.68ish on 91 Octane with our...
Paid last night around 8:00PM CST and I have an e-mail with an attachment by 8:10AM CST from TSP!
Outstanding guys! Will report back once I can get a good test on this tune on the weekend.
