Hello guys, as you probably already know due to testing I have upgraded my fuel pump yet again.
So selling my XDI fuel pump, with a spare modified line and unlock code. $1400 plus shipping. Save yourself some money and get a barely used pump.
Funny enough I ran into a 6th gen Camaro on the basemap for ethanol on my way home. It did not end well for him. ?
Those things put down like 415-430whp stock, guy followed me and said he has never been beaten by civic before. Very cool guy though and a good sport.
I guess the meme of a civic...
I’m testing the new full race high pressure pump. Right now dialing everything on pump gas. Will soon move onto ethanol for testing.
This new fuel pump has the capacity for 700hp so I will never reach the limit of that pump. Injectors I might be able to max them out on an ethanol blend.
It kills a bunch of power actually after the IAT has a high discrepancy from the ambient temp. I think a better intake solution would lead to more consistent power in the street, track and even the dyno.
Yes when doing standalones you want the air entering the engine to be as accurate as possible.
The type R uses both sensors for calculations, but when the pre intercooler sensor detects too much heat it dials it down to keep everything safe. Remember the car has to last for the warranty period...
So on his new car with the stock intercooler he was talking about Coolant temps. His IAT’s must have been pretty high since the stock intercooler heat soaks pretty quickly but he would not have been able to see them since he did not have Hondata. So no way to tell unless you have a stock car...
But those were logged in Hondata or just looking at LogR? If so you need to look at IAT 2 to really tell.
Here is an example with the PRL intercooler. It is usually 15-20 degrees cooler than what is displayed in the logR post intercooler.
so testing keeps ongoing, had this little dip of fuel here but everything is looking solid.
After some tweaking, still got some work to do on some fuel trims and such due to the new injectors but so far so good. Plus pushing her to 7400rpms on a completely stock internal engine.
Loving...
