91 is recommended. (91+ really)
87 is minimum.
It says so right on the fuel door.
I would only use 87 in a pinch. Sure the car can adjust timing to handle some engine knock, but I personally would not drive the car hard on 87.
It depends on how slow or fast the air leak is.
Any time you adjust tire pressure (assuming you’d let a little air out before tracking) be sure to recalibrate the TPMS. This will help ensure the system works properly.
This exactly. That footwell light can easily pop out of the socket/holder. Look at the passenger side light and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Tension in the wire causes it to rotate and unlock and pop out of the driver’s side holder. There’s not much room to in there to work with, but it...
@Djseto Well, that’s sort of the problem and the source of frustration, right? Finding out the limits can be dangerous and it’s not always consistent/ predictable. Adding to the frustration is that we (you and others included) know that there are better systems out there. I’ve found GM’s tech...
That’s what I hate about it too. It can be a little unpredictable at times. I’ve had it brake on me as I was approaching a bend in the road. It saw that I was approaching a safety rail or something off to the side that “it thought” was directly ahead of me. I’ve had this happen with our MDX too...
Yeah the screen housing is very creaky. You’d have to remove it from the car (which I’ve seen a video of somewhere) then mess with adding damping materials inside.
I’d probably just claim it thru insurance. It could possibly lower the car’s value, but the damage is minor and it would show as such on a report. I’m no expert, but I highly doubt this issue would lower the car’s value by $2500-$3000 (the repair cost). You should be able to recoup at least some...
Haha! Embarrassed myself twice today.
1. The redline shift “beep” works! The problem was indeed me (shifting too early).?
2. In my test, to make sure I induced the “beep,” I found that the rev limiter works too!???
@DustyDan I think that’s an accurate assessment and you brought up the best point : With the ITS ADS, you basically have 3 settings for street use and no longer have a true track purpose setting i.e. +R mode. It’s give / take. I can definitely see some people liking one over the other for...
@MooMoo I’ll try it again later and will make sure I’m not shifting too soon (that may easily be the case). I have a feeling I’m going to embarrass myself later.? Admittedly I haven’t had a lot of seat time this year (due to work and stuff)…so it’s probably my fault. I seem to recall that it...
I did check my settings for the beep and it was on. Maybe it just needs to be reset or possibly I need to toggle it off then back on? I also went into the door lock settings (as I wanted to change something) and noticed some menu oddities there as well. It’s been months since I’ve even looked at...
I’m pretty sure all the bolts are the same length on my car too. Maybe Honda changed the bolt that holds the seat? That would make sense as I’m sure it helps the guys on the assembly line.
I bought a used ITS ADS from a member here. Price was reasonable so I figured why not give it a try?
As a very general assessment I’d say all modes are dialed down by about ~25% compared to the CTR’s ADS…but there’s a bit more to it than that. People have reported feeling “more planted.” It’s...
Yep. I’ve completed 4-5 various accessories purchases on here and always feel like I have to make the seller jump thru hoops to verify their legitimacy. It’d be nice to be able to save others some of that trouble via a feedback system.
That’s right! Spark plugs and valve adjustment was at 105k (not 90k) on my 8th gen too…which is the FIRST scheduled mechanical maintenance interval. All service intervals leading up to 105k were basically just fluid changes. Obviously, some maintenance details may be different with the 1.5T, but...
