They program the new keys through the ODB port. They pulled the panel behind the screen to disconnect the TCU so the car can't be tracked through Honda Link.

They either use a device to relay the signal from your fob in your house to open and start the car or they break into the car from the lock in the door handle and use an ODB tool to program a new key. They likely programmed a new key which is why your existing keys don't work.

These cars are just slightly harder to steal than the Kia boys cars and are stolen all the time.

If the PCV system in the Honda engines is that good, then I would be worried that installing a catch can would be fixing something that isn't broken. I know plenty of companies sell them, but that doesn't mean they are needed or doing anything meaningful.

No, it doesn't really help anything. Port injection doesn't have carbon problems anyway. But I like to rev it out.

Frequent oil changes with quality oil, use quality high octane fuel, avoid short trips and make sure the engine always gets to temp. These are the best things you can do although not always possible. And don't forget, a redline a day keeps the carbon away.

I haven't seen that these engines are prone to carbon buildup. Frankly, it seems like none of Honda's DI engines are prone to carbon buildup. I wouldn't try to fix a problem that doesn't exist, you just might create a new problem.
