Random Observation: Acura recommends 93 octane for the Integra, while Honda only requires 91 octane for the FK8/FL5. This could be related to the tune I'd suspect.

No reason to change unless you are heavily modified and/or tracking the car. Street driving, even spiritedly, will never reach dangerous oil/coolant temps.

Also I just remembered. One of the selling points of the FL5, directly from Honda, is that it rev matches for downshifts into first gear. Which means Honda is OK with it.
For the FK8 at least, it does not have a lockout in first. I let a passenger try 2>3 to feel the shifter, and they did 2 -> 1 instead. I was going around 50 km / 31mph.

1 will allow you to open the door but not start the car
2 is dangerous and can result in car getting stolen, donāt hang your key near the front door
