Yeah totally agree. I'm in central Texas and it gets damn hawt. Last thing I like to do is step into a freaking oven and grill my ass. The cloth at least helps a little in sparing myself from smelling bacon. LOL.
The other alternative if I still want an "EX" trim with cloth seats is go with...
I know I'm probably in the minority, but I always thought the EX version was the best bang for the buck - and I was looking to get the EX-L even though I don't really want leather seating (yeah, I'm weird). But now the EX-L apparently doesn't have fog lights or sat radio for the trim level...
My thoughts exactly. I personally think the OEM one is a bit clunky looking with those oversized supports. I wanted something more streamlined and the Mugen - so far - fits the bill.
Man, why do the mounts look so freakin' chunky to me? I want them to be slimmer more aero looking. In all honesty, I want a lip spoiler like Honda offers on the sedan but for the hatch... I'm sure there'll be offerings on the bay.
This whole "Sport" designation for a trim level but with an underpowered engine seems counter-intuitive. I never understood that with the sedan "sport" but at least in the hatch trim the Sport model actually had some substance to support the "sport" label.
If you can still grab a 2020 10th gen Sport hatch - that model, imho, was the best bang for the buck. There you had the turbo 1.5 engine, the touchscreen and upgraded wheels. I opted for the EX because I wanted a sunroof, Lanewatch and SAT radio.
I mentioned this before but recently I was on the highway and spotted what I thought was a new Civic sedan but as I got closer I realized with was a VW Jetta. It's like Honda got the rear taillights from the same supplier as VW. That said, I'm glad the hatch has a different tail lamp from the sedan.
It's an interesting video. The Honda designers (I believe) discuss their philosophy behind the new Civic hatchback. The mention the Japanese word: Sokai - meaning refreshing or exhilarating experience. One of the designers said they wanted to create a "visually noiseless and frictionless Civic."...
Not overwhelmed by the tacked on spoiler either. I'd rather have a lip spoiler similar to the Sedan offering. I'm sure that option will be offered on the Bay shortly after the car arrives in people's driveways.
IMHO, the new hatch needs the Rays Volk Racing wheels, a more subtle lip spoiler (ala the sedan HPD type). Seems like Honda has been pushing those accessory wheels forever. They need to come up with something new. And I don't get how reviewers are gushing all over the Sedan Touring rims -...
