I never could get excited about the Civic Type R. I enjoyed my 2017 Civic Si, but lost interest when some of the content was removed for 2022. Neither beats the smiles-per-gallon of the Miata, though. :D
I have no plans to part with my Miata, but I'm not afraid of EV's - I've driven enough of them to appreciate their different qualities such as instant and abundant torque, quietness, smoothness, and efficiency. I find some of them just as fun, but in different ways - no different than how I have...
2022 Civic Si $28,315
2022 GTI $30,540
Difference of $2,225 which buys you:
Significantly more power and torque
Hatchback design
Heated seats and steering wheel
Longer warranty
(subjective) Higher quality materials, design, feel, and sound
I really enjoyed my 10th Civic Si, but every time I...
Considering an ILX which is based on the Civic platform from two generations ago (!) starts at $4,600 more than the Civic, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Integra start at around $32K.
...and the radar unit and adaptive dampers and dual zone climate control.
You do get a Bose-branded audio...
$28,315. :(
That's a pretty health increase over the 2020 MSRP of $26,155 and the $24,775 of the 2017.

I was initially disappointed to see the ADS deleted for the 11th gen, then I remembered that I could hardly tell a difference between "normal" and "sport" modes in my 2017 and felt that "normal" was just fine for 99.9% of my driving. I suppose it's actually refreshing to return to a simpler...
A few reasons I can think of right off hand:
1. To confirm that a new model release is imminent before an official announcement is made.
2. To provide early information about changes.
3. To provide how-to information. Dealers frequently skip steps such as installing the rubber body plugs and...
Body plugs are oval rubber plugs used in the holes in the frame that are used to secure the vehicle while in transport. They help keep out debris and noise. Most automobiles have them. Dealers regularly fail to install them out of laziness or ignorance.
SYMPTOM
A buzz or ticking sound is heard from the center display.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
There is a gap between the center display unit and the dashboard causing vibrations.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Apply wool felt tape to the lower corners of the center display unit.

I'll second that! If nothing else, the Si's LSD is arguably THE single most important component. All the other differences are incremental, but the LSD fundamentally changes how the vehicle is propelled. The wheel spin in the Accord 2.0T and FWD RDX is almost as comical as FWD Mazda's with the...
Ridgelines are extremely comfortable and very useful. For something smaller and cheaper, the $20K Ford Maverick Hybrid gets 40 MPG and is big enough to haul any appliance sold at your local hardware store. :)
I somehow missed that even though I stay fairly saturated with automotive news. Curiously, I spend FAR more time on Honda forums than Mazda forums. Not sure why - maybe I'd rather actually get out and enjoy driving the Mazdas instead of talking about them. ;)
Back somewhat on topic, it would be...
A few months ago, I almost sold the Miata to Carvana for nearly 90% of what I paid for two years ago. I submitted all the paperwork and had a pick up scheduled, but chickened out the day of. I turn over vehicles frequently, but the Miata (and a CX-5 I owned for ten months) made an emotional...
I'm in the vast majority that has no interest in an NSX or even Civic Type R. My loyalty to Honda was based on top quality and reliability and I'm upset that they've taken those away.
Si's, Type R's, and any vehicle with a manual transmission for that matter make up such a tiny fraction of total sales that it's nearly meaningless. If Honda never made another, they'd survive just fine. Buyers of those models might be upset or disappointed, but someone in the market for Civic...
"The standard Honda Sensing® suite of active safety and driver assistive technologies uses a new single-camera system that provides a wider field of view than the previous radar-and-camera based system." - Source
An advantage of radar is the ability to "see" in low-to-zero-visibility conditions...
About half the Civics made at Swindon are exported to the US, so that was about 80,000 Civics last year. Honda sold over 325,000 Civics last year, so we can estimate about one quarter of Civics sold were hatchbacks.
Nissan has had more CVT's for a longer period of time than anyone - even in the Maxima and Pathfinder with the 3.5L V6 - the latter of which has a higher towing capacity than any Honda.
Oh yeah? Have you driven a Tesla Model S P100D? It doesn't shift at all and I guarantee it'll make you...
