"Improving the sound of the engine is a new dual-coil silencer exhaust system that increases exhaust flow 27 percent compared to Civic Touring."
Yet it still has less HP / same TQ as before. Although with the lighter flywheel, maybe power at the wheels is the same or higher than previous?
Why...
Agreed. They may lose a few sales from enthusiasts that don't like the more dialed back look, but gain many more from the GP who were embarrassed to be seen in the 10th gen CTR.
Honda should put their cruise on a stalk like Toyota does. It's in the perfect spot, IMO. And easier since you don't use your thumb. The paddle style buttons are good though, since you can find them without ever looking.
What makes you think that car is CGI? If it is, it's the best CGI technology to date. Go Honda! :D
Regardless, the 10th looks better than the 11th in any pic. And those HPD accessories make it look even worse. As do the black wheels.
While it has to sound better than the 10th gen, but with it's "Bose Centerpoint 2 and Bose SurroundStage digital signal processing" I'd worry that they'd screw it up. To bad they don't ever offer a way to easily turn all their DSP stuff on and off.
I had been planning to get a an 11th gen coupe until they announced it's death, so I moved on to another car, but now I'm kind of glad they got rid of the coupe since I would be in quite a conundrum trying to decide if I live with that dashboard, considering how much I hate it. It's truly awful...
Most the GP who doesn't already own a Civic or Accord, and thus know it well, will have a hard time telling this apart from the 10th gen or the Accord, unless they were sitting side by side. I guess this is to save money on the design process, but seems most manufactures do this now. Or at least...
I think I'd hate it if I was younger, but while I don't now, it's just not exciting. The back looks like an Altima and the front looks like an Accord, but with a nod to Toyota's grill, which most people hate. I don't understand the point of a Civic anymore if it's this close to an Accord...
I think it's recommended that CVT owners not go over +6 Hondata tune. Since this turbo shifts power to higher RPM, I wonder if swapping in this turbo would alone be enough to allow them to run a +9 tune, for those that don't want to mess with custom tunes. Of course, with a bit more lag.
