You are correct, the catalyst is the big difference. We use a 48 state EPA approved GESI catalyst. It is not cheap but we are not in the habit of cutting corners. This design was originated by PRL years ago before they changed the focus of their business and ceased production of downpipes. We...
The 1.5 turbo is more fun for sure but the 2.0 NA is fine for basic transportation. The 1.5T likely would increase the cost if that change does happen.
This is an example of making something work vs doing it right. PRL didn't design extra couplers as a cash grab, it wouldn't be worth the trouble for them. We have had customers report using the "standard hoses" and connecting to the HVI, and then having them come disconnected after driving the car.
The Hybrid Racing shifter does not use any base bushings, it mounts directly to the chassis. You can use any cable linkage bushings with it. We are big fans of Hybrid's shifter, and everything else they have produced!
Yep, that'll do it. I have a PRL unit "installed" on my car but did not connect the ECT2 plug due to no support. I use the wi-fi feature to monitor ethanol content but it does not communicate with my ECU.
Was a flex fuel kit installed on your car? If so, you are getting this error because the kit is not compatible. According to Hondata, they will not support ECT2 based flex fuel systems because they are not emissions compliant.
I actually have done it without pulling the manifold but it is not pleasant. I ended up cutting a 19mm wrench in half so that it was not too long to use behind the motor. 🤣
Yes, based on our current waiting list and expected deliveries that is correct. I certainly cannot guarantee this though, it is dependent on the manufacturer and that end of it is unfortunately out of our control.
